Le Arcate — Restaurant in Caronia

Our experience in this restaurant had been pretty disappointing.

On the good side, perfect location, good ambiance, waitress has been really nice and arancini really good.

On the bad side...the food ( what we came for ) more than under standards. I have ordered a max pizza, mushrooms we're from a can, sausage from a cheap factures like 1st price supermarket and the dough definitely not up to Italian standards.

My fiancée ordered risotto of sea food. Was more like a simple rice with some sea food and gravy mixed with it. Nothing terrible but definitely nothing worth to pay for it.

In a sum it's a okay/cheap restaurant but don't expect good sicilian food. I guess the chef have no more pride in the dishes that...

Visiting Caronia, my family’s home town was beautiful… the service from this restaurant was amazing food delicious absolutely coming back!! The patience of our hosts helping us order because of the language barrier was amazing the hospitality and generosity and food...

Siamo stati ieri sera alle Arcate abbiamo preso il menù sferracavallo ( menù fisso) a base di pesce. Antipasti: infiniti, buonissimi e abbondanti pepata di cozze, insalata di polpo, carpaccio di tonno e salmone, caponata di mare, insalata russa di mare, cocktail di gambero, cus cus di pesce e polpettine di pesce e cozze gratinate, spero di non essermi dimenticato niente. Bis di primi : strozzapreti allo scoglio abbondanti e buonissimi e dei ravioli ripieni di cernia con crema di pistacchio squisiti. Secondi grigliata di pesce spada e gamberoni, ottimo. E per finire macedonia, sorbetto amari e caffè. Le bambine hanno divorato una frittura di calamari anche quella ottima.
