We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant on our trip to Italy. 3 of my family members are coeliac and eat gluten free. We explained this to the staff and they were very understanding and explained what options we could eat. They ensured our food was cooked separately and even brought the gluten free pasta out to show me it was gluten free. They also offered pre-packed gluten free bread. Our family loves going to Il Lupo for special occasions. We appreciate the authentic local food and the friendly atmosphere. It’s reasonably priced, although over the years the portions have shrunk in size. Pisarei and tortellini are to die for! Siamo a Ciriano, in un ristorante che non ha paura di mostrarsi per quello che è: rustico, schietto, senza fronzoli. Il Lupo ti accoglie con una location spartana, ma con il vantaggio di un comodo parcheggio a due passi.
Il menù segue la tradizione, con proposte che parlano la lingua della zona. Io ho iniziato con degli anolini in brodo, fatti bene e saporiti. La grigliata mista, invece, è arrivata troppo abbondante e mancava di carattere. I contorni? Poco convincenti.
Il vino della casa, invece, è stata una bella scoperta: sincero, giusto per il posto e ha accompagnato bene il pasto.
Il servizio è come il locale: spartano, diretto, senza troppi giri di parole, ma velocissimo. Ci hanno serviti in un quattro e quattr’otto.
Alla cassa, il conto è stato di 54€ in due, con vino, acqua, due primi, una grigliata e due contorni. Prezzo ottimo per una cena onesta.
