Nel Mio Piccolo — Restaurant in Casciana Terme Lari

Outside were three tables, there were many more. But we had to sit inside and were given a table. We were ignored for 20 minutes. No menu came. No drink. Completely ignored. We decided: then how about a pizza for takeaway? We asked after this and there was zero interaction or friendliness. 'No'. Strange that we were then given a table. Never been treated so unfriendly in our lives. We tried to communicate politely in English and make ourselves understood in Italian. But were told 'don't you speak Italian, well then?'. Proud people perhaps but Italians like this ruin our beautiful image of this...

In this pleasant restaurant, on the main road to Casciana Terme and Lari, the pizza is well prepared and dressed and the staff is friendly and quick. They also have a good beer selection, both bottled and draft. The outdoor tables are mostly enjoyable at dinner time, as they're in the shade of the building while the indoor area is likely fitted with an air conditioning system. The access to the toiles is easy also for people with limited mobility (even with a wheelchair)....

18 of us stayed nearby for a wedding and after previously eating at the restaurant I booked again for our stay. I emailed the owner and he sent through the gorgeous menu. He could not of being more helpful. When we all arrived the owner and the staff was so warm & welcoming. 2 or 3 of the staff spoke excellent English. Our glasses was never empty and our bellies never so full. Food was as good as I remember if not better....
