Stayed here since we had a crazy early flight from Malpensa. I was super skeptical of the restaurant bc our walk from the train station to hotel revealed a very “sleepy” town. Nothing seemed to open before 4pm, and a lot of buildings looked quite unkept. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by our stay. The restaurant was amazing, good prices, and got crazy packed by 8pm. Reservations recommended. I thought there was no way a restaurant in the middle of nowhere could be good, but it was. I was so skeptical I was afraid to get the raw seafood, but people Around me got it and it looked amazing. I got the seafood pasta, grilled octopus, and cacio e pepe. All super good! Pasta was chewy and perfect texture. Even my 5 yr old was asking for more octopus. I followed other reviews that raved about dessert (I almost never get dessert) and the pistachio cake was sooo good. I would def stay here again if flying from Milan. If you’ve never been to Milan, the central city is an hour away from the airport so it makes sense to stay near the airport if you have an early flight. They also offer a free shuttle. The shuttle driver did forget to give us our son’s backpac, which probably slid under the seat, but it was a 4am pickup. We contacted the hotel and they’re in the process of shipping it back to us now.
Would totally recommend.
Bonus: there’s a Gelateria 10 min walking from here that was one of the best...
Read moreOverall, our stay was okay. There wasnt any fatal flaws with the hotel and we enjoyed our 4-night stay, however there was a few things we noticed.
There was a little bit of dirt at the top of our washroom ceiling, the heated drying rack wasn’t working, the walls had marks and chips, furniture was damaged, and the bed frame was a little loose. Our room was otherwise clean and very nice.
Service was excellent and very helpful, however the restaurant was quite manipulative with their pricing, charging us for things we didn’t order.
Breakfast was good, however there was a significant lack of vegetables and fruits, and tons and tons of carbs.
Wifi can be unstable, sometimes working perfectly fine and sometimes not working at all.
Electric vehicle charging was crazy expensive at €25 per night, and parking was extremely limited on the site of the hotel (max 4 cars).
There are no “do not disturb” signs for the room service, so we had to tell the front office and the room service ladies not to clean our room, however they still ended up cleaning our room and taking our towels that we brought from home, in belief that it was a hotel towel.
And with the 35 minute drive (with tolls) to Milan, it was a long drive everyday that deemed the price of the hotel a bit too expensive for...
Read moreThe staff was attentive and very quick to respond to my messages. My flight was delayed by 5 hours, and I ended up staying at the hotel for only about 3 hours. It was meant to be an overnight layover in Milan (original landing at 7:30 p.m. turned into past midnight), and with my connecting flight just 4–5 hours later, I even contemplated skipping the hotel altogether. Since it was too late for the free pick-up, I would have had to pay €35–40 for a taxi.
I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much — I’d had a past experience in Italy where I arrived late for check-in and ended up locked out, forced to find another hotel room on the spot. So I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating this place was. The staff (Celeste) stayed up late trying to reach me via WhatsApp and phone calls to confirm my arrival time. I truly felt he went above and beyond, especially considering this was a non-refundable booking (and he probably also needed to arrange the 4 a.m. airport drop-off).
In the end, I did take a cab to the hotel, managed a couple of hours of rest, and I’m glad I did. Not to mention, the breakfast-to-go in my room.
Although my stay was short, I would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for quiet accommodation and excellent...
