We stopped at Osteria San Michele for lunch on our way to Punta Ala, and it turned out to be a truly joyous discovery. As a devoted fan of vitel tonné, I couldn’t resist ordering it the moment I saw it on the menu. It was beautifully presented, with paper-thin slices of meat and a creamy, delicate sauce that struck just the right balance refined but comforting.

My husband had the ravioli filled with stracciatella, served with mazzancolle also excellent. The pasta was silky and fresh, the filling indulgent without being heavy, and the prawns added a lovely depth of flavour.

We sat out on the terrace, which had a tasteful yet homely feel there was something familiar and quietly elegant about the whole place. The staff were extremely professional, clearly well-trained, but also warm and welcoming, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Definitely a place we’d return to it made the journey feel like part of the...

We had a disappointing dinner experience.

The interior seems nice but is overloaded with tiny unnecessary items without an overall theme. The menu is well composed with local cuisine. Unfortunately the food was not able to hit our expectations, which also derived from the comparably high price level (coperto 3€, why?) and this quite high overall rating. Also the portions were too small, probably to pretend haute cuisine. The owner is very into her guests, which is not everybody’s choice, although she knows how to host her guests. The service was partly nice, partly...not Summarized we were disappointed compared to some lovely...

Sulla statale di Donoratico si nasconde questa perla rara dove ottimo cibo, ottimo servizio e convivialita’ fanno da padroni.. Debora eccellente padrona di casa, Michele grande Chef e i ragazzi del servizio efficienti, simpatici ed alla mano sono una squadra da formula 1! Il risultato fa sì che una cena al loro ristorante diventi un’esperienza unica e multisensoriale. .. l'ambiente non si può descrivere: bisogna viverlo.. ogni cosa è curata scrupolosamente al minimo dettaglio: ogni tavolo è apparecchiato in modo fantasioso e mai banale senza cadere nel kich, tovagliato con broccato apparentemente pretenzioso ma che unito al centrino della nonna crea un mix che rende il ristorante fuori dall’ordinario e che fa da cornice ad eccellenze non solo culinarie ma anche d’atmosfera...un ristorante insomma che ti resta nel cuore per la passione che si respira dal servizio della sala fino a ciò che finisce nel piatto dalle sapienti mani dello Chef Michele, che definirei un cuoco “vero” senza mostrine e superbia ma passione, cura e dedizione a partire dalla scelta delle materie prime. Molti ristoranti anche pluristellati dovrebbero prenderne esempio poiché il ristorante non passa come una meteora che hai vissuto per cena ma resta! Non dimenticherò le chiacchiere fino ad oltre mezzanotte con proprietà, dipendenti e conoscenze fatte al tavolo accanto ( mi scuso ancora per l’invadenza oltre l’ora di servizio ma mi sentivo a casa tra amici). Essendo un appassionato di in ambito enogastronomico vi assicuro che ho analizzato il ristorante oggettivamente e per la prima volta e mi sono ritrovato in atmosfera di livello ed amichevole.. non è poco .. un consiglio solo a tirar le somme: andateci e provate se vi interessa un ristorante che predilige prodotti del territorio, qualità eccelsa delle materie prime, ospitalità e sevizio.. a loro dico solo grazie della splendida serata ed un...

Osteria San Michelle is a true home. The atmosphere here is so delighting that you won’t want to leave any time soon. Our host and the staff go beyond themselves to make you feel at home, and treat you like an honoured guest. This was true for every customer around us too. Aside from the atmosphere, the beautiful decoration, wonderful ambient music, we also had the most delicious meal in our lived. We were welcomed with cool water and Spritz, a delicious soup from the chef, and we had mussels for the first time and they tasted absolutey great. The catch of the day, and the fresh pasta were also super delicious.

if you dont mind the price then you eat very well over here: the place has an attention to detail: so before they serve the white wine they make sure the glass you drink it from is cold too by shaking a few icecubes around the glass and just before serving they throw the icecubes out. the wine they put in you can choose by color . we chose white and for a house wine it was excellent the pictures of what we ate say it all. small portions but great stuff again one can argue whether 80 euros should be sent on a lunch but hey its a holiday
