A mare Osteria — Restaurant in Castel Volturno

The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They communicated with us without knowing English and the fish was high quality and super tasty! Please make sure to park in the parallel street above the Osteria. There is someone watching the cars. We didn't know and parked at the large parking lot near the supermarket and our car was robbed. Still, the staff was friendly and helpful in this unpleasant situation. We were extremely sad not being able to finish our dinner as -again - the food...

The restaurant is hidden behind a bad looking street. Once you go down the stairs towards the coast line, you will see that the restaurant has actually a pretty decent atmosphere. It was, unquestionably, the BEST linguini with shrimps and langoustines that I have ever eaten. It was truly an amazing experience! It is a place where the locals go to eat fresh seafood. The staff is very friendly but they don't speak English, which makes the experience more authentic. It's not cheap, but...

Piccolo ristorante-osteria situato a Pinetamare nella darsena dell’ex porto turistico di CASTEL VOLTURNO (CE). Location semplice, molto informale ed in particolare situata in un sottostrada non molto facile da trovare e a ridosso della sopracitata darsena con lavori in corso perpetui…quindi cena all’aperto ma non propriamente davanti a un “belvedere “. Arredi spartani con tavoli e sedie ballerini. Una volta seduti, niente menù da visionare 🤔ne’ un modesto menù cartaceo, ne’ un digitale e neanche un QR code da inquadrare, ovviamente (come avrete già capito) impossibile sapere preventivamente quanto si andrà a spendere 👎👎 Nel complesso cmq cibo buono e fresco (almeno quello). Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di mare per due persone (esclusi i crudi) che prevedeva assaggi di diverse portate alla modica cifra di 50€ (neanche dallo chef stellato Vissani 😡), una (UNA) normalissima frittura di pesce a 20 Euro con una bottiglia di acqua Ferrarelle da 75cl a 5 Euro 😱… il tutto praticamente per la “modesta “cifra di 75 Euro scontata poi a 70€. 😅 Ovviamente il tutto ESENTASSE.
