Pizza Village 2.0 — Restaurant in Castel Volturno

Let me start by saying the name and location are very deceiving. One of my many to-do things has been to have pizza in Napoli and in the way the locals order it. The wait staff was amicable and engaged from the start. I asked and they recommended. I started with a cold Italian beer and aperitif, which consisted of bruschetta, fried mozzarella, and buffalo mozzarella. It was excellent, so I was somewhat nervous about the pizza that was recommended. A few minutes went by, and the waiter came out with a fresh and hot masterpiece. It was basic and rustic in its form. No fancy stuffed crust or overload of toppings. It was a sauce, buffalo mozzarella, and the magical vessel…the pizza dough. So this is where it gets chaotic. Once I delivered all three things onto my pallet, a mixture of emotions entered my brain and soul. Happy because I had finally realized one of my wishes, angry because my taste buds had been denied and lied to for so many years. My most notable feeling was confusion because I didn’t know if I should hug the people in the kitchen or punch them. The pizza was that delicious, and the sauce was made somewhere where the pizza gods cook. This is a must if you are in this part of the world and wish to fulfill your “pizza in Italy” wish.

Great pizza restaurant, with very friendly staff. If the location was a little more accessible, the place would attract crowds.

Their menu has a great variety of choices and the food is delicious, affordable and the portions are large. I have been here several times, and you will not leave unsatisfied!

I would recommend it to anyone, and I will surely return anytime I happen...

Pizzeria modesta, molto basica, le foto nelle altre recensioni non ingannano, ciò che si vede è quello che promette. Arrivo solo e vengo accolto con un cameriere che mi fa aspettare 10 minuti all' impiedi per sedermi, e premetto che non ci fosse molta confusione.... Appena seduto mi ha chiesto cosa volessi ordinare (senza nemmeno sapere se esistesse un menu')..... Senza fare troppo caso a questo modo di fare ordino una pizza classica e chiedo se fossero disponibili zeppole ed il cameriere mi guarda un po confuso come se non ne avesse mai sentito parlare... Va be sorvoliamo e accetto il suo consiglio, delle crocchette ..... Arrivano crocchette e pizza sulle quali nulla da ridire, onestamente erano entrambi buone. Finito il tutto mi reco al bancone per pagare il conto ed aspetto altri 15 minuti senza che nessuno facesse caso che fossi li per pagare (probabilmente sarei potuto andarmene senza pagare) e nel frattempo leggo nella lavagnetta che avessero le zeppole ...... Metto una stella solo per rispetto del pizzaiolo che ha lasciato un attimo il forno per farmi pagare, ed ovviamente per la pizza che è...
