Lovely setting and position overlooking castell' Aquato, we usually go to Da faccini, but on this ocassion they close on Tuesday evening so we book for stradavarius, its very much like nouvelle cuisine, we started with antipasti for 3 people a small selection of cured meats around 12 slices for €30. We only found this outwhen the bill arrived, I had octopus as a main course it was over cooked and like rubber unedible served with some courgettes and potatoes I explained to the waiter he said he was sorry and offered me a liquor I was charged full for my main my wife had a pasta dish which was very good but given the choice of restaurants in the piacenza region which is renowed for its food we won't go back in total the first course 3 main courses bottle wine and water 2 espressos €165.00 we've had the pleasure of touring around italy and enjoying the food and wine but this was not the...

We ate here twice during our three week stay in Castille D’Arquato, our first night and our last night. Our first time we were blown away by the food and service but really, had nothing to compare it to. We were equally impressed with the food and service on our last night after having eaten at many fine restaurants throughout Emelia. Everything we ate was excellent but the standout for me were the starters. The best giardiniera and chisulino in the land. And watching the servers on a busy night,weave in and out of tables, pour wine and deliver steaming dishes of food was like watching a ballet! Service was excellent, food was delicious, ambience and general atmosphere felt intimate and exclusive. Local dishes were well prepared and accompanied with excellent wine selection. Portions are on smaller side so consult with staff based on your party size. Good value for price point, would recommend for anyone visiting the area, on a night out in Castell’ Arquato.
