Trattoria Arco Persio — Restaurant in Castellana Grotte

I visited this restaurant other night with my family and I must say the food was truly high quality and the service impeccable, the dishes were well prepared and presented, and the waiters were attentive and friendly. However I noticed that the owner(I guess), an older man, spent most of the evening talking to us, which was a bit annoying since we wanted to be alone. I also found the way he treated the young waiters very unfair, yelling at them in front of us without any consideration. I don't usually leave reviews but as a retired chef I feel I can say that this attitude not only demoralizes the employees but also damages the restaurant's image. I hope the owner can reflect on this and learn to value the work of these girls. Overall, the restaurant has great potential, I will be back....

What a delicious hidden gem in Castellana! Words fall short to describe such a memorable meal. The freshness of ingredients, the delicate combination of flavours, the texture of sauces, the immaculate presentation, the friendly service,... Even the humility in the eyes of the cook when I praised his talent and thanked him for such an extraordinary culinary experience, all came together to make this a truly extraordinary meal in Castellana. Sublime "Cavatelli aglio scoglio", scrumptious "Paccheri al crostacei" and heavenly "Tagliatelle funghi porcini", accompanied by the best "Fritura mista di pesce" and culminated with an excellent tiramisu and an equally extraordinary panacotta (hopefully my photos will fill the gaps left with my words). Visited the place 3 years later and it was a nice and delicious experience again. There were tables outside which brought even better experience. We found Fried shrimps and squids option in the menu which was a new delicious one. 3 years ago: It was delicious food and nice people, but we were missing the seafood options as posted on the pictures here. In the menu we've spotted 2 types of pasta with some seafood that was good as well, but still not sure if we have to pre-order the seafood plates that you can see here or such are offered on special occasion.
