The time would fail me to tell of this place. We drove to it from Catania and arrived at the ruined church and battered buildings at the entrance. I knew the entrance could not be the full story and was not disappointed. Walking through the building entrance, dated "1843" over the arch, one arrives at a courtyard which is very elegant, with flowers and creepers on the walls, doors and windows on three sides. Behind the doors and windows are the reception, the kitchen, the main function hall, some of the accommodation and the vast winery. There's a room off the reception which has the pizza oven. Both the kitchen and the separate pizza oven with their respective chefs produce some of the best food I have had in Italy or her Islands. No fancy stuff here, but clean, wholesome local fare. The staff were warm, friendly, accommodating and even when busy always had time for a chat or a smile. The owners were genuinely interesting people. They intend to keep developing Feudo Tudia, and shared some interesting plans. But, really, its pretty much perfect now. What I would not have given to have been there when I was 12 years old, there are no end of interesting things for adventurous children to do. The pool amongst the trees was lovely and really cooling to swim in. There was a trampoline and a zip line and swing and other kids things but what really would have got my attention at 12 years of age were the surrounding fields and hills and places to explore for miles around. I hiked the roads above the farm for days and the locals were always friendly with a wave and a toot on the car horm. The walks were scented by all the wild growing things, especially the ubiquitous sweet fennel. European bee eaters flocked also, with their beautiful chirping. The cicadas rasped constantly, sometimes near and sometimes far but the singing of the crickets at night time made up for that. The room had a very high ceiling and thick walls and the air conditioning did not have to work hard at all to reduce the temperature. The bed and pillows were exceptional and contributed every night to what my fatherused to call 'a fat sleep'. My wife and I hope to have many more 'fat sleeps' in Feudo Tudia in the coming years, hopefully with our family and our friends. Thank you to all there who looked after us so well, we had a wonderful and blessed time.

This place was recommended by someone in Resuttano. He called for us to let them know we were coming. It was in the middle of the week and we were the only ones there. What a beautiful place! We were traveling on bicycles and it was HOT so this was like an oasis. Maria welcomed us with cold water and gracefully showed us around. Our room was very comfortable and there was a swimming pool to help us cool off. We were served a fantastic breakfast in the courtyard. We really were treated extremely well. Maria told us that the place has been in the family since 1840! An utterly charming place and a good value. Looks like it could get quite busy and I suppose it does on the weekend but for us, it was incredibly peaceful.

Feudo Tudia è una realtà davvero meravigliosa. Vita lenta, turismo rurale autentico. All’esterno, i colori sono magnifici. He dire una super accoglienza.

My family and I stayed at the Agriturismo Feudo Tudia in October, 2014 and really enjoyed it. The rustic feel of the farm and the surrounding countryside made for an idyllic setting for our family getaway. You will need a car to get there, but the drive is beautiful with rolling hills, farmsteads and livestock. Make sure to order the full board or half board and have a dinner at the restaurant. The locally grown food and wine were incredibly fresh, tasty and plentiful. The hosts, Gila and Vincenzo De Gregorio are generous and courteous and are very helpful with regard to planning local activities. We were encouraged to drive to a little town called Petralia Sottana for a street fair and market which turned out to be one of the more enjoyable parts of our trip. The accommodations were simple but clean and cozy and was a great value for the money. I highly recommend the Agriturismo Feudo Tudia for your...
