Very charming large old estate in the wine country, just 15 minutes from Siena. They don’t make their wine but rather sell the grapes. The historical building is breathtaking. The interiors were basic yet exceptional. The food was good with home made flavors but the service was one of the best we had on this trip. Very warm staff. Our waitress demonstrated solid sommelier’s training. She recommended an outstanding wine that we were not familiar with but loved it from the first sip. The owners must be doing a great job to have such loyal and passionate employees - something we hardly experienced in bigger full of tourists Italian towns like Sienna.It’s certainly a challenge to take care of such large estate. Hope that the Italian government has provisions for preservation of such magnificent estates because for sure it’s difficult to run it just from a 50 room hotel and restaurant proceeds.

Parvenza di livello medio alto ma si può fare di meglio. Partirei dalla location, sicuramente il ristorante è inserito in un bellissimo contesto anche se poi la mise en Place fa acqua da tutte le parti. Il pane servito a cena era datato, l'acqua dovrebbe essere microfiltrata ma o i filtri non funzionavano oppure è stata prelevata dal rubinetto direttamente e aveva un sapore pessimo. Abbiamo preso poi del cinghiale del chianti in umido con sedano rapa, e questo piatto era decisamente fatto bene, carne tenerissima e ingredienti ben amalgamato senza che i sapori si sovrapponessero, poi dei pici cacio e pepe con basilico e fiori di zucca buoni ma con molte pecche in quanto per rendere l'insieme cremoso si è fatto abbondante uso di farina il che ha guastato la composizione, richiesto una insalata verde ma è arrivata una mista, pazienza ci può stare. Il personale molto cortese e discreto. Prezzi a mio avviso un poco alti visto il rapporto qualità, costo ma di questi tempi ci può stare. Bene ma da migliorare molto su coperto e pane, acqua, e da equilibrate meglio sapori del cacio e pepe. Arricchire il menù per persone intolleranti al glutine e magari qualche piatto in più per chi preferisce stare sul vegetariani, anche se so che in Toscana non è facile.

I returned both dishes. My wife ate half of her main and admitted to not wanting to eat her appetizer again voluntarily. Staff was nice and tried their best so no complaints there.

Edit to reply to staff: It’s great you think I go to a restaurant to only look at food. I tried both dishes. The pasta was a horrible combination and I declined another option since I was in the middle of a dinner and didn’t want to hold up the rest of the food. The second course “tuna burger” was not a burger at all but some stale tuna that looked microwaved rather than properly seared and had an odor to it. Had a small bite but the odor was enough. Thanks for the invite but we’ll definitely not be back. Perhaps rather than being defensive ask for some feedback on how...

I was very exited to visit the restaurant after spending the night in the amazing hotel where restaurant is located in. As the decor looked very romantic I decided to reserve a table for a diner. Unfortunately, it wasn’t such a pleasant experience as I hoped for. The waitress were terrible, they were constantly in rush and didn’t really pay attention to costumers, not to mention the long wait for the bill which wasn’t even ours. The food overall was pretty good but very overpriced and to be honest the staff really ruined the whole experience. To sum up I really wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to people staying in hotel, just take nice pictures during the day of the tables and spend your money on better...
