Do yourself a favor and eat here. This family-run restaurant was perfect in every way: friendly, accommodating staff that makes you feel comfortable, a smartly curated menu of rustic dishes prepared perfectly, and a wine list ranging from international bottles to those made in the vineyard that the village sits in.
We visited this spot on our first night in Villa a Sesta, and enjoyed it so much that we made it a point to go back for dinner during our short stay. It was booked full, but we checked later and luckily they had a table ready for us.
Favorites: duck ragu gnocchi, goose carpaccio, ossobucco, duck breast, pork fillet with balsamic reduction, chocolate cake, creme brulee... basically all of them. Did I mention the duck Rahu gnocchi?

Read moreI do not ever write reviews but feel compelled to do so after this meal. The dining experience at Osteria alla Villa was incredible! The restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife that are incredibly kind and talented, and their staff is wonderful. We enjoyed the goose carpaccio, spinach ravioli, ricotta gnudi, and the best pork filet I’ve ever had. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate cake with cherry and a tiramisu. Everything was made from scratch. The owner also has an incredible wine list and it is reasonably priced. We enjoyed a delicious Brunello and shared a glass with the owner to cap off the night with some great conversation. If you are staying nearby, go here and enjoy the best meal in Tuscany. Grazie...
Read moreWhat an incredibly special place! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. We have eaten at many wonderful restaurants throughout our trip to Italy and Osteria alla Villa stood out as being one of the best. The mushroom tagliatelle and burrata salad were delicious, and we were lucky enough to be there on a night when they were serving steak Florentine, which was the highlight of the meal. We asked for their recommendations for wine and were thrilled with the bottle they suggested. We were especially touched the generosity and warmth of the staff. In a town full of Michelin star restaurants, do not sleep on this gem. Our evening at Osteria alla Villa was by far the highlight...
