Castelvetere sul Calore is one of the unexplored jewels of Italy which most foreigners dream about. It is a return to the Italy of old, when you could find and visit places untouched by mass tourism. A stay at the Borgo will have you believing that you have been transported back in time.. The service they provide and desire to help anyone is exceptional. Put all this together with the excellent and diverse food from the surrounding mountainous areas, the vineyards from world class wineries, cycle routes that regularly feature in the Giro D'Italia, and excellent walking trails, and you will wonder why you haven't been here before. Castelvetere sul Calore is not for the 'tourist' that wants to see Tuscany and the manicured Italy for the mass tourism, but for the discerning traveller who wants to see and experience the 'true' Italy, to see how the locals live and tell your friends that you experienced something new in the heart of Italy. A highly recommended holiday for those who want an 'out of the ordinary'...
