Almost too good to be true! This little trattoria serves, among other salumi, the best Spalla Cotta (still warm), Culaccia and crispy Torta Fritta. Their "nostrano" wines are decent and, if it's your lucky night, at the end of a savory meal you get to taste one of their homemade "digestivi"!!! Not to mention that prices are reasonable. "Trattoria della Pace", nel senso che ti porta alla pace dei sensi. A parer mio, questa è la trattoria per eccellenza a Castelvetro Piacentino e dintorni. Si tratta di quel casereccio che ti riempie in tutti i sensi, riscaldandoti il cuore. Sia l'antipasto che i primi sono eccezionali. Gnocco fritto e tagliere per un singolo bastano e avanzano per due persone, come saggiamente consigliato da una delle cameriere. Ho molto apprezzato un dettaglio non da poco: i tortelli chiusi con coda doppia, simbolo inconfondibile del piacentino. Non mi aspettavo affatto di stupirmi a fine pasto con i dolci di produzione della trattoria: la crema pasticcera mi ha ricordato quella che facevo io da piccola in casa, e sia con la torta sbrisolona che con le pesche sciroppate a pezzetti diventa sublime. Posso contare sulle dita di una sola mano le volte in cui sono rimasta pienamente soddisfatta dal dolce di un ristorante o di una trattoria, spesso messo in secondo piano per concentrarsi unicamente sulle prime portate. Lo staff è gentilissimo e alla mano, oltre a essere particolarmente veloce e attento nel servizio come non ho visto spesso in giro. Insomma, è stato un San Valentino perfetto.
