Albergo Ristorante Santuario di Velva — Restaurant in Castiglione Chiavarese

Wow, what an outstanding gem! I'm so happy that we found this Ristorante. The food is absolutely superb, the portions are truly generous and the owners are very kind and nice. Everything is surely home made - the antipasti were just great (cold meats, anchovies, mushrooms (WOW) and the potato salad), the pastas were very unique and delicious. The whole experience is the one of a home-made, family-run, down-to-earth food. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this place runs for many years to satisfy accidental visitors (like us) and regulars....

Juni 2022: War sehr lecker und reichlich. Nach der Vorspeise waren wir schon ziemlich satt! Juni 2023: Wir haben es wieder getan und wir wurden auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht. Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine gemischte Platte mit gekochtem und geräuchertem Schinken sowie hausgemachter Salami. Dazu gab es Sardellen in Olivenöl sowie Russischen Salat. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Pansotti mit Walnusssoße sowie Tagliolini mit Pilzsoße. Beide Nudelgerichte waren ausgezeichnet und sehr frisch. Für ein Fleischgericht war leider kein Platz mehr! Auch das Tiramisu war super lecker! Zum Abschluss hatten wir dann noch einen leckeren, starken italienischen Kaffee. Zum Ambiente ist zu sagen: lasst Euch nicht abschrecken! Die Lokalität ist vor 50 Jahren stehen geblieben und erinnert fast schon an einen Lost Place. Die Beleuchtung mit Neonröhren ist etwas ungemütlich, und ohne die schon älteren Vorhänge hätte man einen schönen Blick in's Grüne. Trotz der etwas verstaubten Atmosphäre war alles sauber, und die Tische waren eingedeckt mit Stoff-Tischdecken und Stoffservietten. Auch die Toilette war sauber. Sono stata a pranzo a ferragosto,tutti piatti buonissimi,salumi della casa ottimi,e possibilità di fare bis.Vino e.acqua senza limiti. Unico fatto che mi ha delusa e rovinato il pranzo alla fine:sono andata a pagare dopo il dolce e prima del caffè per evitare la lunga fila, così ho chiesto se il caffè fosse incluso nel pranzo o dovessi aggiungerli ai 3 menu per sapere quanto pagare esattamente:il cameriere che si occupava dei pagamenti ha frainteso,ha capito che volessi subito il caffè e mi ha risposto malissimo,inoltre è arrivata in suo soccorso una collega che potrebbe essere mia figlia dicendomi che avrei potuto farmi il caffè da sola.Non è da me rispondere in modo poco gentile, sono quella che nei ristoranti,pizzerie cerca sempre di facilitare il personale passando i piatti o impilando quelli del mio tavolo ma la scortesia gratuita è qualcosa che non accetto nelle attività a contatto con il pubblico.
