although we live in Pieve, We always go to Cafe Alise for our weekly ice cream fix, nobody else compares! Its home made and they love to create new flavours from pear and coconut which is delicious to yoghurt with ginger. Santo Domingo chocolate is also an absolute must! They are always friendly and courteous and take the time to explain and let you try each flavour. In a world where increasingly the 'traditional ice cream' is mass manufactured even in Italy, we are really lucky and privileged to live so near. Una grande delusione! Il problema del locale non sono i prodotti (per quello è solo questione di gusti), il problema vero è che NON accettano alcun tipo di pagamento elettronico, nemmeno per pagare i biglietti del treno, e dopo due anni di Covid è assurdo! Quando ho detto alla signora in cassa che non era corretto, mi è stato risposto dal titolare che la commissione che prendono per la vendita dei biglietti è troppo bassa e che comunque come bar non sono obbligati! Me ne sono andata per non continuare a discutere ma da fuori si sentiva il titolare che ancora commentava alterato (quindi pure maleducato). Mi dispiace caro signore, ma persino gli ambulanti al mercato sono obbligati ad avere il pos (dal 2012!), da quest'anno anche per pagare pochi euro...
