Great restaurant at a crossroads. The decor is dated in a fantastic way. You get the feel of a place from the 50s or 60s that looks new. Clever. The art work is from a family member. She has her own style that is charming. The staff is friendly and attentive as any family owned establishment would be. They appreciate their patrons. The food is quick and good. Some reviews comment on pricing. Being from the States I can’t comment on the specifics of price but would say this: You are near an ocean as a tourist attraction. Prices in similar locations are always a bit on the high side. It is also a restaurant located away from main amenities. You do have the benefit of seeing the prices before you order. If you don’t calculate the cost then it’s really on your head - don’t see high prices, order, eat, and then complain that’s not fair to the establishment. Get up, excuse yourself and find a place more suitable for your wallet. Enjoy the wonderfully rich cultural custom of family owned businesses replete throughout Italy! In the States you will be relegated to corporate stamped menus and processed food. Rejoice in your culture! Finally, if you look at their bathrooms and kitchen - at how well they are kept - then you will know these are clean, hard working people that strive to present their best to all. Give this establishment a try. Let them know Goyo GTO sent you. And please, consider giving this review a ‘like’ or ‘thumps up’. ...

7:30 PM on a Thursday evening. No reservation. While patiently waiting to speak to someone asking for a table assignment, constantly being ignored by several staff despite noticing - great first impression... not.

Finally having asked for a table, apparently not a single table that could be made available on short notice despite the fact that 90% of restaurant still empty and lots of uncovered table outside which were obviously not reserved / planned for. Needless to say that with some small children we were not going to stay for more than an hour - something every other organized restaurant can handle. On the contrary - if you cannot - simply quote that you do not want any unannounced visitors at all.

To summarize: if you no longer need it, you should leave it alone. never again this place, same advice goes to all other non italians. there are other restaurants where service is still very important. As you got it wrong big time at first encounter, please refrain from writing some sort of excuse... there will not be a second chance from our side. We can easily life without such poor place, question is how much longer you will be able to go on like this...

On a side note: found another great place couple of km...

The failure of my partner's automatic gear box, resulted in me driving 2 hours to pick them up from garage, well "every cloud has a silver lining" we decided do to late hour stop for quick bite to eat before continuing, the restaurant was very busy , mixed locals and tourists, a classic Tuscany local style with food very much local, service was good , and attentive , as we were in a hurry I took the hand made tortellini with spinach and ricotta with Ragu sauce , really excellent and perfectly cooked , it but the spot lovely and we were on our way with thoughts next time in area a more leisurely pace and try more of the excellent menu , recommended please give it a go . (PS the pictures so not do the food justice...

Classica trattoria maremmana ruspante credo a conduzione familiare. Consigliatissimo.
