Ristorante La Casetta di Valentina — Restaurant in Castiglione della Pescaia

We were at the restaurant for Mother's Day dinner. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a beautiful view. We made the reservation by phone in the morning. Upon arrival, it turned out that the table was not prepared for us. We were offered a small table for 4 people at the back of the room, even though other tables with a beautiful view were free. This already introduced a certain degree of tension. In the end, we got a table that we liked.|After receiving the menu, we decided on main courses. We ordered stewed deer and pork tripe. The deer dish was terrible, several pieces of very tough meat, hard parts of the artichokes and a tasteless sauce. The tripe was also apparently not that good.|We wanted to order 3 portions of cheesecake, but there were only two.|The cheesecake was delicious.|So we were very dissatisfied with the dishes, except for the dessert.|The service was forcefully polite.|To sum up, the place is beautiful but...

This agritourism has a restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner - you don't have to be a guest in the accommodation. I came here for a recent family lunch. The restaurant is in a room with glass walls looking over the surrounding countryside stretching from the hills, Grosseto in the distance, over the coastal plain and protected wildlife area and across to the sparkling sea - simply gorgeous!||And the food is excellent too! The chefs prepare a set menu of typical local foods using in-season products, home made pasta etc. It's genuine, tasty food. We all enjoyed our meal, in particular the antipasto and pasta dishes. The selection of desserts were the least interesting part of the lunch. The house wines served with the meal are good quality and the service is friendly. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Castiglione, giving you the chance to appreciate the Maremman cuisine...

Vorrei dare zero stelle… Ho prenotato in giornata un tavolo per cena con The Fork presso questo ristorante.. ho ricevuto la conferma tranquillamente, ho guardato con calma il menù e dopo diverse ore mi sono avviata verso il ristorante.. arrivo lì ed è tutto buio… ricontrollo la prenotazione, che risultava attiva, controllo su Google gli orari di apertura e oramai qualcuno ci doveva essere, ma nulla.. aspetto, aspetto ma ancora tutto buio.. a questo punto mi viene il dubbio che aprono più tardi.. cerco il numero e contatto il ristorante, che con freddezza mi dicono che sono chiusi. E mi cancellano la prenotazione!

Anche se bassa stagione, se hai una scheda Google che dice che sei aperto e su The Fork hai la disponibilità aperta, non puoi farmi attendere a vuoto davanti al ristorante!! Se non sai usare la presenza online, non la usare o paga qualcuno che lo faccia a modino a posto tuo! Non ti improvvisare, facendo perdere tempo e sprecare carburante, rovinando la sera ai clienti e magari dando pure la colpa ai portali di prenotazione! Non chiamare dopo 15 min dall’ora per cui avevo prenotato per dire che ti dispiace, ma è colpa di qualcun’altro!

Il ristorante se n’è accorto di avere una prenotazione su The Fork solo perché a forza di aspettare davanti al locale, gli ho scritto io su whatsapp e come risposta non è che mi dice “guarda, ho fatto un’errore, mi dispiace, ti offro un calice di bollicine per scusarmi la prossima volta quando vieni o il caffè a fine cena”… anzi, mi hanno cancellato la prenotazione 2 minuti prima della cena!! Poi ha provveduto a chiudere la disponibilità su The Fork e Google. Poi con tutta la calma del mondo dopo un quarto d’ora che me ne sono andata, mi chiama intanto per dare la colpa agli altri, per poi provare a dire che forse potrebbe indicarmi altri ristoranti quando io ormai ero in tangenziale verso casa … Io abito a circa 70 minuti di macchina da questo ristorante, ovvio che dopo aver aspettato inutilmente, per poi essere anche trattata così mi è passata la voglia e mi sono avviata verso casa. Mi sono sentita presa in giro.

Per chi è abituato a prenotare con un click, sicuramente non consiglio questo posto! Viste le recensioni, avevo molte aspettative, ma sono rimasta delusa! Io sicuramente non ci ritorno!!
