Pizzeria Piccolo Forno — Restaurant in Catania

This was a great pizzeria. My friends and I loved it. The staff were so kind and they cook and serve you with their heart. There is one thing, however. They use really good quality mozzarella which is different from what we are used to having on our pizza from elsewhere. They use bocconcini. It is written on the menu at the very top, that all their pizzas are made from this cheese. I ignored the message and ended up with food poisoning for days after that. Not their fault. What an experience! Found this place to grab a quick bite and had one of the best pizzas ever. Very friendly staff, eager to place a table in the large space lighted by TL and decorated with a Marilyn Monroe painting, glitters on the wall and family pictures of the owners. The pizza is made in the rather large oven for a place called small oven. Great dough, good toppings, excellent pricing. Came back the day after for another taste - still good. We walked in at the time the oven was still heating up and were shown the menu. After choosing our pizzas, we asked if we could eat them there and that was no problem at all. We sat at a little table and in no time the pizzas were done and we could enjoy the best tasting pizza I have ever had. I chose the Maxi and that was more than I could eat for sure!
