I believe that the best way to judge a pizza is to try the margherita, for its simplicity and originality. All other pizzas are just surrogate. With that said, I was terribly disappointed by the margherita that this place makes. The tomato/pizza sauce is very, very bland. The mozzarella, in the try Neapolitan version, should be fresh mozzarella. As matter of fact, it is the mixing on the sauce with the juice from the mozzarella that gives the margherita its defying taste. Update 2021 (previously 4 out of 5 stars): the best pizza in Cava. I don't know if they changed the pizzaiolo or supplier or both, but it's definitely the best in the city. Typical Neapolitan style, very light and digestible. Also options to have wholegrain cereals pizza - better for your health and I add, also better tasting! There's also a new terrace at the top which is coop especially in the hotter months.

Disastrosi .. Partendo dal fatto che non ha senso prenotare , il primo che Arriva si Siede . E tu che hai prenotato, devi aspettare che si libera un tavolo. Troppo affollamento fuori la porta , e nessuno che “gestisce” la folla. Camerieri in difficoltà, perché giustamente ad entrare ed uscire dalla porta si ritrovavano sempre qualcuno d’avanti alle balle. Ci fanno accomodare dentro, ordiniamo , e ci portano subito da bere .. Piccolo Inconveniente e che i bicchieri puzzavano di vino , facciamo presente al personale di sala che subito c’è lo cambia . Al momento del ordine , ci dicono che non è possibile prendere un tronchetto in quanto la cottura risulta più “lenta” e visto che e sabato sera la “cucina” viaggia più veloce . L’ho trovato un po’ come dire , fuori luogo .. è inaccettabile che un cliente sfoglia un menù e al momento del ordine ti dicono che non si può. Ci può stare che finisce qualche ingrediente , l’impasto .. ma non fartelo perché è sabato sera .. DECISAMENTE NO. A questo punto scelgo una pizza, e dopo una Bella attesa arriva come richiesto. Sulla pizza nulla da ridire (crudo rucola e scaglie ) .. ma vedere quel prosciutto crudo passare in diverse mani mi ha fatto un po’ ribrezzo. Arriva l’altra pizza ordinata dalla mia ragazza .. e qui c’è la sorpresa .. il cameriere oltre alla pizza della Mia ragazza, aveva anche il tronchetto ! (Ma come, ma non era possibile di sabato?!) Mhà .. Dalle recensioni sembra un ristorante che merita .. ma è tutto fumo e niente arrosto. Ho visto tanta gente lamentarsi , e soprattutto tante pizze sbagliate e portate indietro.
