This is a discovery ! It is a family run restaurant. This is off the beaten track, and it is a gem of a restaurant. It is a fish based restaurant, and it is only freshly caught fish that is cooked expertly by Maurizio. Make no mistake, this is not a fancy place, but everything is cooked masterfully by a chef that only uses the freshest fish he finds every day. This is not an oyster, caviar and lobster place, this is the real deal, offering a daily menu that changes according to what was freshly caught on the day. We had an incredible starter of white bait, marinated anchovies, prawns and crevettes. Divine ! This was followed by a delightful pasta made with octopus, red pepper, olives and capers, another masterpiece that left us in disbelief meanwhile we were still eating it. This was followed by another pasta, this one was gnocchi with fresh basil, courgette flower and small shrimps, another dish that was unforgettable in its simplicity, but very sophisticated in the perfection of the cooking skills needed to achieve such a magical result ! I cannot express how delighted I am in having found such a place! This is a small place m, so I suggest making a reservation to avoid disappointment.
