Trattoria Di Via Magenta — Restaurant in Ceccano

We visited for lunch on a trip from the US. This was by far the best meal we have had while in Italy. The ragu and red sauce were the best I have ever had and were quite similar to my grandma’s recipe. We had the gnocchi and fettuccine with mushrooms as the first plate. Both excellent. Decided to share the meatballs as the second course, however quickly wished I had not agreed to share! All courses had an abundance of flavor, yet were all very light. Two course meal with sides, wine and dessert at an excellent price! We will be back! Recommend this restaurant. Don’t miss this gem of homemade goodness! Well worth the trip...

In occasione della festa della mamma, io mia moglie ed i suoi genitori abbiamo pranzato presso questa trattoria. Siamo stati accolti con estrema gentilezza e disponibilità. Sofia, la ragazza che ci ha servito è stata davvero cortese. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Io ho preso salsiccia alla brace con patate, la carne era freschissima e la cottura era perfetta. Mia moglie ha preso le polpette al sugo, erano talmente buone che le hanno ricordato quelle preparate dalla nonna. I miei suoceri hanno preso due primi: tagliolini all’ottica e gnocchi al sugo di carne, eccezionali entrambi. Abbiamo inoltrato ordinato un baccalà per assaggiarlo tutti e 4, ebbene questo piatto ci ha davvero sorpreso, era super! Sicuramente torneremo presto!...

We trusted the reviews, and got it 100% right! Tasty, genuine, homemade food! We had a great antipasto, fettuccine mushrooms and gnocchi with fresh tomatoes sauce, topped by amaro and some really nice cookies! Super friendly, amazing hosts!...
