Ristorante Pizzeria Bar Mediterranea — Restaurant in Celleno

Che esperienza confusa e deludente ho avuto in un ristorante che avevo apprezzato in passato e che attendevo con impazienza di visitare di nuovo, e di presentare ai miei genitori.

Avevamo prenotato un tavolo per le 21:00 e avevamo percorso una lunga strada per venire qui. Siamo arrivati alle 20:45 e abbiamo ordinato da bere e degli antipasti. Gli antipasti sono arrivati, e abbiamo ordinato primi e secondi. Gli antipasti erano buoni, anche se non tanto buoni come in precedenza, e tutto andava bene tranne che per il fatto che il nostro vino rosso era stato dimenticato.

Ma poi: dopo aver finito gli antipasti, la cameriera ci ha informato che la cucina era chiusa e il cibo che avevamo ordinato non sarebbe arrivato! Ci è stato detto che potevamo comunque ordinare una pizza se ci affrettavamo, e l'abbiamo fatto controvoglia sapendo di non poter trovare altro posto in tempo per ordinare, e avevamo fame.

La pizza non era buona come prima, insipida in alcuni punti e troppo salata in altri, ma davvero, questo non è il punto qui.

Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo, siamo arrivati in tempo, e abbiamo fatto i nostri ordini. In nessun momento ci è stato detto che avremmo dovuto ordinare rapidamente perché la cucina stava per chiudere, altrimenti lo avremmo certamente fatto. Come possiamo quindi essere improvvisamente informati che la cucina è chiusa quando siamo a metà pasto! Questo è incomprensibile. Ho potuto vedere che la nostra cameriera era molto dispiaciuta per come erano andate le cose, e mi dispiace per lei. Tuttavia, una scusa e un risarcimento dalla direzione sarebbero state la cosa giusta qui, e nessuna delle due è stata offerta. Dopo aver cercato di negoziare il prezzo, abbiamo deciso invece di pagare il conto per intero e di non tornare mai più. Che triste conclusione per una cena in un ristorante che volevo davvero apprezzare.

What a confusing and disappointing experience at a restaurant I had enjoyed before and was really looking forward to visiting again, and introducing to my parents.

We had booked a table for 21:00 and had driven a long way to come here. We arrived at 20:45 and ordered drinks and antipasti.The antipasti arrived, and we ordered primi and secondi. The antipasti were good, even if not as good as previously, and all was good except our red wine had been forgotten.

But then: after we had finished with the starters, the waitress informed us the kitchen was closed, and the food we had ordered would not arrive! We were told we could still order pizza if we hurried, and we reluctantly did so as we knew we could not get anywhere else in time to order, and we were hungry.

The pizza was not as good as before, bland in spots and too salty in others, but really, this is not the point here.

We booked a table, arrived well in time, and placed our orders. At no point were we told that we should order quickly as the kitchen as about to close, or we would have certainly done so. How can we then suddenly be told that the kitchen has closed when we are halfway through our meal! This is incomprehensible. I could see that our waitress was very sorry for how things went, and feel sorry for her. However, an apology and compensation from the management would have been the right thing here, and neither was offered. After trying to negotiate the price, we decided instead to pay the bill in full and never return. What a sad ending to a dinner at a restaurant I really...

Siamo stati oggi a mangiare in questo locale. Non ci aspettavamo una locazione migliore, perchè avevamo visto le foto, e questa è stata l'unica cosa positiva. Siamo arrivati verso le 13,30, e il locale non era affatto pieno. Sono venuti a prendere le comande, e già per avere i primi abbiamo aspettato circa un'ora. Abbiamo subito notato che i primi non ci venivano serviti assieme, ma venivano portati ai vari tavoli per tipologia: prima tutte le calamarate, poi tutti i piatti di un altro tipo, poi il risotto. La calamarata era mezza fredda, e la pasta scotta. E la cosa più assurda, in ogni piatto c'era una quantità diversa di pasta. Ma mai abbondante. Il risotto di mio marito, senza prezzemolo, abbondante, il nostro, uscito dopo, scarso. Molto. Per avere il secondo, nonostante fossero stati ordinati assieme ai primi, almeno un'altra ora. Calamari fritti, pochi. In pratica, il piatto come quelli con i gamberi, senza i gamberi, ma senza aggiunta di qualche altro calamaro. Duri. Le verdure peggio che andar di notte. Cicoria durissima, in pratica solo gambi, e fredda a tratti. Peperoni con la pelle. Melanzane che surgelate erano meglio. Insomma, chi ha messo 5 stelle io non lo so dove abbia mangiato. E in ultimo, ma non ultimo, un paio di tavoli con "amici" serviti velocemente, molto prima degli altri e con attenzione, anche se erano arrivati dopo. E proprio come ciliegina sulla torta, la scortesia della cameriera (credo la figlia del proprietario) che alla fine però si è scusata del ritardo. La ristorazione fatta così è davvero uno smacco alla categoria. Mai più. Usciti, per un primo e secondo, alle 16,30. E aggiungo, il vino della casa. Qualità zero, frizzante, dolce. Che davvero con il pasto non...

Had a wonderful lunch here on vacation for a friend's wedding and they happened to be open at the off peak hours we were hoping for. Delicious seafood offerings, and a vegetarian offering was made right away at our request and it ended up being one of the tastiest meals we had the entire trip.

The staff has very few English skills, and we very little Italian but everyone worked together to make the most of it, and in the end we left...
