Ristorante La Genzianella — Restaurant in Ceresole Reale

We had lunch here on Sunday noontime. Before that, we had read some reviews, so we expected that we might have to wait long. And yes, that was correct. We waited about 45 minutes at the table just for the waiter to take our order. Then, we waited another 30 minutes for our food to be ready. This part is for the management of this establishment: Dear management, when you see that on weekends you have so many customers and all the tables are full, you should increase the number of staff. Although most of your customers are passing travelers, their reviews can help bring in even more customers, so please take this into consideration. About the food: The dishes we ordered were very appealing and delicious. We were all satisfied with everything we ordered (I’ve uploaded all the photos of what we ordered). About the waiter: She was very friendly and energetic. Although the waiting time for the food was longer than usual, the friendly attitude of the waiter and the quality of the dishes made all that waiting worthwhile. Last words, if you have extra time and want good food, this place is recommended.

One unreasonable thing we noticed here was that there was no menu. The waiter would verbally tell you the dishes of the day and the menu, then take your order. Because of this, the prices weren't clear, and you couldn't keep asking about the cost...

Il mio giudizio non ē sul cibo ma sull accoglienza.Prenotato due giorni fa, arriviamo alle 12.55, prenotato da loro per le 13 e già il signore al bar ci dice che dobbiamo aspettare 15 minuti , vabbè vado in bagno..sporco quello disabili, vado nell altro poco meglio ma senza carta igienica, vado per lavare le mani niente carta, solo un rotolo di Scottex mezzo bagnato, Alle ore 13 saliamo(il barista avvisa altri commensali, non noi, allora chiedo mi dice che anche noi possiamo salire) il ristorante ē sopra, stanza caldissima, chiedo alla cameriera se possiamo stare fuori risponde subito stizzita che non c e posto sul terrazzino. Chiedo alla cameriera con i capelli scuri( molto più gentile) e lei mi dice di guardare , vado e c e un tavolo libero ma da sparecchiare(ho dimenticato di dire che noi eravamo prenotati per il secondo turno... Non lo sapevamo!).Ci sediamo, passa la prima cameriera e le dico che preferiamo stare fuori, lei risponde che il tavolo ê da preparare e ci vorrà un po'. La nostra esperienza al Genzianella finisce qui, ci alziamo e ce ne andiamo nell indifferenza delle cameriere e del barista. Per fortuna capita raramente di avere accoglienze del...

Fabulous lunch with the locals. Waitress went the extra mile to overcome the language barrier - (worth having Google for non Italian speakers:-) The two of us enjoyed excellent selection of meats and cheeses for the antipasto.
