Ristorante Pizzeria Quattro Assi — Restaurant in Cerreto Guidi

My wife and I tried this place, trying is as far as we got. While on a drive through Tuscany on a Sunday, we decided to stop for lunch after seeing this place along the way. We found a fairly busy restaurant with plenty of open tables. At first we were excited based on all the other FRIENDLY and amazing restaurants that we have been to on our 2 week trip. That feeling went away quickly as they basically ushered us out because we didn’t have a “Local reservation”. They were not polite about it either. The restaurant employee that handled the greeting made a hand gesture that in my opinion meant “make your way out”. Based on other reviews it sounds like we were refused business because we are not italian, or that we are American. I have traveled around the world several times and have never experienced such a rude encounter at a restaurant. Americans stay away from this place. Me and my wife were on vacation in the area, we had driven by many times through our trip and thought we would give it a try. I would give it zero stars if possible. The restaurant was over half empty and we were turned away, they said they were full for the night. Little did they know that me and my wife both speak Spanish, and Spanish and Italian are very similar, we could kind of make out what they were saying. Worst experience ever! Don't go there, total rip off!! Worst service we ever experienced with our family, the lady who served us was not only very unfriendly, she wanted to take the food order directly after just sitting down, served a bottle of white wine although we even pointed to the glass of red and nearly threw the dishes on the table. She is we think even the owner lady of this restaurant. Worst was then mediocre to bad food, nothing you would expect on the Tuscany.
