Trattoria Del Bivio — Restaurant in Cerretto Langhe

We stayed for two nights in this property.||||Pros:||||- Good situation in the heart of Piedmont, a lot of interesting villages are within driving distance and it is about a 15 minute drive from Alba.||- Free parking on site.||- Rooms are very large, most of them have balconies. Decoration is simple, yet functional and there is a lot of closet space.||- Service was extremely nice, after two days, we almost felt like we were part of the family!||- Warm indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. During our stay, we had the place for ourselves which was great!||- Very good restaurant, with a large choice of local dishes (perfectly executed) and wines.||- Great value for money!||||Con’s:||||- There could have been a larger choice for breakfast, but the bread was delicious and homemade so it made up for it.||- Decoration in the rooms might not be to everyone's taste and tiles on the floor are a bit cold in the winter.||||In summary, we had a really good time at Locanda del Bivio and were warmly welcomed by the owners. A gem in Piedmont, we found this place accidentally, looking for some place to be open on a week day. Service was outstanding, very nice settings and view, little Italian music for the ambiance. Excellent wine list, for every budget and they will give you good recommendations. Did I mentioned the food? It was awesome! Michelin quality, both in taste and presentation. After finishing her porcini with truffles, my wife ordered an other one, it was that good. Everything was so good, we made reservations for the last night. Service was again excellent, they remembered which Grappa I ordered before. Again two truffles dishes for my wife. Rabbit was the best we had in this trip.
