Ristorante - Albergo Madonna della Neve — Restaurant in Cessole

Despite the fact I have been at this place minimum 8 times, I have never rated it. We spent one night at the hotel and had the cena (dinner). The hotel rooms are nothing fancy but just super simple and exactly what is needed. Before Covid, everbody was just served with food without having to choose from the card. Now you can choose a la carte which is not in disadvantage to the client. They are very flexible. I - for example - decided to go for the menu degustazione and noticed that none of the sweets was what I wanted. So I asked if it would be possible to get cheese instead: No problem at all. Also when we order wine, we always ask the boss to bring us something- we never mention the price. The wine is always perfect and the boss never would have cheated us and bring something very expensive. To me, this hotel and restaurant is a role model of how a hotel & restaurant should be. It‘s not 5 star luxury with spa & stuff but it‘s just 100% honest and straight from the heart. The heart of the hotel is it‘s boss who has been running the place since before I came here the first time as a young girl and my family and I will come back here for many more times...

Clienti da una vita siamo tornati finalmente in questo ristorante dopo un lungo iato dovuto alla pandemia. |Il cibo era buono ma i cambiamenti nel servizio e nei prezzi hanno decisamente rovinato l’esperienza. L’antipasto, un tempo servito uno a uno, con la possibilità di rifiutare una cosa che non piace e chiedere un po’ di più per una cosa che so gradisce è stato trasformato in un singolo piatto scon 5 minuscoli assaggini. Un membro della famiglia allergico a uno dei cinque antipasti ha dovuto scartalo e il ristoratore non si è neanche premurato di chiedergli se gradiva una altra cosa. La famosa carne al carpaccio ora è un quadratino di carne tartara banale. Per primo abbiamo preso gli agnolotti al tovagliolo, di nuovo serviti individualmente già sul tovagliolo, una porzione minuscola. Abbiamo infine preso un po’ dessert da assaggiare. I prezzi era altissimi considerando le quantità. 14 euro per gli antipasti, 9-12 euro per i primi , 44 euro (!) per gli assaggi di dolci. La cosa che comunque ci ha dato più fastidio è stato che uno degli ospiti ha chiesto il caffè corretto e i ristoratori hanno portato le bottiglie di grappa sul tavolo, nessuno le ha toccate a parte un goccio in un caffè e hanno fatto pagare 6 euro di liquori . |Siamo molto rammaricati dell’esperienza e non penso che torneremo più, sopratutto considerando che guidiamo 2 ore e mezza per arrivare a questo ristorante |Forse queste modiche sono state fatte per via del COVID, ma posso pensare molti modi per riprodurre una esperienza simile a prima entro le limitazioni dovute...
