Pizzeria la Volpe — Restaurant in Chiauci

We arrived at the destination from another small village starving. We were a bit sceptical and kinda anxious, knowing that there were only regulars and beetween friends, and we, just strangers, speaking just a bit of italian. They asked for rezervation wich we dis not have, but happily there was room for us. We were lead to our table. The service was very good, the waiter tryed to understand us with his little english knowlege, and us understanding him with our little italian knowlege. We ordered, the food came kinda fast (the pizza) and the pasta 10 minutes later. The pizza was really good( especially the pizza noci) but the pasta carbonara was a bit off, the egg was cooked, it was like you were eating pasta with scrammbled eggs. The people around was intensly staring at us, i think for just beeing strangers, that was very unconfortable. We were served later than 2 tables that arrived later than us. So, if u are hungry, go. 3 cose mi fanno ridere di chi scrive recensioni. 1) chi scrive che la pizza servita era immangiabile, in tutta la mia vita non ho MAI trovato una pizzeria che mi abbia servito pizza immangiabile (se mai a volte piace di piu' a volte meno). 2) che il personale di servizio e' lento e che non sorride, e mica devo mangiarmi il sorriso del cameriere? 3) quando polemizzano che il gestore non ha fatto entrare animali, premesso che anch'io sono possessore di animali (2 cani e 4 gatti) ma li lascio a casa come fanno tutti per un rispetto verso altri avventori ed il proprietario del locale. Tuttavia voglio ricordare alla Signora della recensione che per fortuna in italia ancora NON C'E' una legge che obbliga il gestore a fare entrare gli animali. La normativa italiana, in particolare il Regolamento CE n. 852/2004 sull'igiene alimentare, stabilisce che gli animali possono accedere SOLO alle aree aperte al pubblico dei locali SE IL GESTORE LO CONSENTE, purché siano tenuti al guinzaglio e con museruola, indipendentemente dalla stazza, e che non recano disturbo o ingombro allo svolgimento del lavoro, per cui il gestore del locale ha la INSINDACABILE FACALTA' di decidere se accettare o meno gli animali perche' trattasi comunque di una...

Super friendly. Super food. Super service. Worth going out of your way. We were guided expertly through a most excellent meal. It ended with some homemade liquor that was truly delicious. We even spoke with our waiter’s aunt on the phone....
