Aurora - Ristorante Albergo — Restaurant in Chioggia

One of the best experiences we’ve had in Sottomarina so far.

Very friendly and fluent English-speaking staff. Even though we were a bit late and had no reservation—and the place was fully booked—they still managed to find us a great table in the main room almost immediately.

The staff were always attentive but gave us as much time as we needed to decide on our dishes. Courses were served promptly with just the right timing between them. Portions were perfectly balanced—not too much, not too little—and everything was served at the ideal temperature.

The service was both professional and genuinely friendly, making us feel completely comfortable throughout the evening. All the food was fresh and tasty, but the tuna in particular was outstanding.

By far the best restaurant in Chioggia/Sottomarina. Great selection of Pizzas and dishes with seafood / meat in general. The dessert was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. The waiter with the tattoos was extremely helpful and fluent in english. The menu you get on the table is in Italian but there is a QR code on the table that leads you to the whole menu in english. Wir waren zum Abendessen im Aurora. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich die große gemischte gekochte Fisch Platte (24€) die eigentlich eine Vorspeise ist. Der Fisch darauf war frisch und es gab zahlreiche verschiedene Sorten. (Siehe Bild für die Sorten) Leider hatte keines der Meeresgetier Gewürz an sich. Was für diesen Preis sehr schade ist. Bis auf die Jakobsmuscheln, die sehr gut Gewürz und gekocht waren, schmeckte alles andere als wäre es in Wasser (ohne Salz) gekocht. Alles war kalt, bis auf die Jakobsmuscheln. Es war eine Vorspeise... Vielleicht deshalb. Mein Mann hatte eine Pizza Quattro fromage, der Teig war eher Zeh nicht so wie bei den meisten anderen Restaurants in Sottomarina. Und geschmacklich fand er die Pizza lasch und kaum /schlecht gewürzt. Da es unser letzter Abend war wollte ich unbedingt noch einen Tiramisu und eine Panacotta teilen. Tiramisu war ok aber im Vergleich zu allen anderen die wir bis dahin aßen wirklich nichts besonderes. Obwohl dieser aussah als wäre er frisch zubereitet da der Keks noch knackig war im Inneren. Das Panacotta war eine große Enttäuschung, dieser war gefroren. Geschmacklich in Ordnung aber hatte eher was von Eis Creme als von Panacotta. Der Service war nett und sprach für English auch eine Speisekarte auf English hatten sie für uns. An Ende bekamen wir eine Likör, schmeckte für uns war nett von Restaurant.
