Mao Bar — Restaurant in Chiusdino

Fantastic panini made with local meats and cheeses. Nice pastries as well. We were hungry after the afternoon at San Galgano and were happy we decided to stop by. It was 5:30pm so the kitchen wasn't open to make pasta dishes but we left with our tummies full and a smile on our faces.

Nella fitta nebbia della campagna senese, Mao Bar è un locale caratteristico e provvidenziale, per pranzare veloce, panini, primi e secondi piatti della cucina senese, ma per il mio arrivo tardivo per il pranzo, l’unica alternativa ottima era un tagliere di affettati misti senesi, formaggi locali misti, con contorni, pane e un quartino di vino rosso della casa, oppure una scelta di ottimi vini locali e toscani! 🤓😋🐗🐷🍅🥖🥓🧀🍷☕️🥂🍾 . . . In the thick fog of the Sienese countryside, Mao Bar is a characteristic and providential place for fast lunches, sandwiches, first and second courses of Sienese cuisine, but for my late arrival for lunch, the only good alternative was a platter of cold cuts mixed Sienese, mixed local cheeses, with side dishes, bread and a red wine quart of the house, or a choice of excellent local and Tuscan wines!...
