Locanda dell'Arco — Restaurant in Cissone

This has quickly become our favorite restaurant anywhere in the world. We first visited during our vacation to Langhe in September. Earlier this month, we returned to Langhe for vacation and visited here twice, once for dinner, and once for lunch. Both meals were exceptional. Every dish served was absolutely perfect. The plating of all the dishes is visually beautiful, and everything tastes just as good as it looks or better :) The staff are all extremely friendly, and accommodating, and are an absolute pleasure to dine with. The wine list is extremely extensive, and offers probably the most impressive selection of Piemontese wine we've seen anywhere in the world, of both new and older vintage bottles, Barolo and Barbaresco, and also all of the other wonderful grapes of Langhe (Dolcetto, Barbera, Fresia, and many many more), as well as an extremely extensive selection of spirits, Grappa, digestives, and more for after dinner. :)

A lovely area of Alta Langa and this restaurant was very well kept, clean and pretty to look at. I’d say that it’s the ideal place to take business partners, or have a very early meal before heading off somewhere else. Food: fine. The staff were very polite, but distant. Posto sperduto tra i colli piemontesi. In mezzo nelle langhe troviamo questa locanda rustica ma allo stesso tempo raffinata che offre un servizio eccellente. Eravamo una tavolata da 12 persone, quindi ci hanno proposto, qualche settimana prima, un menù apposta per noi. Il menu prevedeva un assaggio di 2 antipasti tipici piemontesi: tartare di vitella e falda di peperone ripiena di mousse al tonno bagnata con salsa al basilico. A seguire tajarin con il loro ragù, brasato al barolo e per concludere semifreddo al torroncino d'alba e salsa tiepida al cioccolato. Menú molto buono. I piatti che mi sono piaciuti di più sono stati la falda di peperone ripiena che all'inizio non le avrei dato tanta fiducia , il brasato al barolo che si scioglieva in bocca e il semifreddo che concludeva perfettamente il pasto. Tutto questo ben di Dio accompagnato da 1 bottiglia di dolcetto d'alba e 2 bottiglie di nebbiolo. Per finire e per accompagnare il dolce ci hanno consigliato un moscato.
