Osteria Le Civette — Restaurant in Citerna

Nice food, however not worth the quality-price. The service (waiting times) was terrible. We wait around 40 mins to order and around 1h to be served. The waitresses were super nice though, but the waiting times were the worst I have experienced in a while.. the restaurant was NOT full. We arrived around 21h and there were less than 15 tables occupied.. I am sorry but I would not recommend it!

In response to the restaurant answer: it is not true that all the guests of other tables arrived at the same time. Neither that I said that everything went well. So please do not lie when responding to reviews from guests. I saw other reviews and they said exactly the same than mine. Siamo stati in questa osteria durante la visita al borgo di citerna,attratti dalla location..che merita 10...per come è arredata..quadri esposti molto belli,raffinata la stanza retro illuminata con libreria appena l' ingresso.. oggetti vari esposti antichi..si può mangiare anche all'aperto nell'adiacente camminamento medioevale(e non era presente nessuno,non si scrivono inesattezze..non solo..pioveva quel giorno)..questo per me il suo punto forte,almeno quello che ho trovato io. Nel servizio ho riscontrato molta lentezza da parte dei ragazzi per qualsiasi cosa..dal portarci il menu..al servirci acqua...passava un tot da una cosa all'altra..e il locale non era pieno. Per il pranzo avevo aspettative alte,purtroppo disattese dal paté di fegatini(era freddo(la morte sua),si sentiva che era di frigo,ma soprattutto erto..,troppo per quel pan brioche alle noci e composta di cipolla...lo abbiamo finito in 2..finendoci il pane...(sussopra). Sulla cipolla ci sono pezzi di liquirizia non scritti sul menu,che una volta assaggiati la cipolla non si sente più.. abbinamento che non mi è piaciuto.. Piatto non riuscito..e fatto presente ad uno dei ragazzi del servizio. Normale i 2 caciucchi di ceci..era presente della verdura nel piatto e sul menu non era scritto. Nella struttura purtroppo il wifi prende solo all'ingresso..e dentro non c'è campo. Come prezzo non solo abbiamo speso 48 euro...che si avvicina alle 50 postate(prima di scrivere malafede)..ma volevamo prendere anche i dolci(non presi)..ed è facile intuire che il prezzo come da menù postato sarebbe stato compreso...

We were traveling through Citerna on the Way of St. Francis for a night and this was our only option for dinner. We are so glad we went! The location is historic and charming. The service is welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing. Some of the best these New Yorkers have had in our Italian travels. Try the ravioli with rabbit ragu and/or the roasted guinea...
