A lovely family-oriented hilltop gem, in the outskirts of Sassari. Everyone around us was having the mixed seafood platter which looked fresh and diverse. Everything else on the fish menu (apart from the fresh fish of the day) was frozen but the asterisk was missing from the mixed fish and it all certainly looked fresh and why folks had made the journey. We had the veal entrecôte and the tagliata which was a little more cooked than is usual for an Italian “medium” (we eat an Anglo ‘medium-rare’ but find ordering MR in Europe is too bloody a cook), but these things are easily lost in translation. We were the only non-Italians in the place and the large restaurant was almost full on a Tuesday lunch day, always a good sign, including about 5 tables with manual labourers (always another good sign for good food IMHO). Service, despite the rush, was prompt and friendly. It’s easy to find, has great parking, overlooks a very special church and its small menu offers a...

Ristorante Saccargia :MAI PIÙ. Piuttosto pane e cipolla. Altre scuse, altra attesa (circa 15 minuti) e arrivano i 3 secondi. (BUONISSIMI e abbondanti). Manca qualcosa? I 2 primi. I dolci buoni.

A lovely place, at the top of a hill, overseeing the surrounding valleys and mountains, serves incredible food at a very reasonable price (for the quantities and quality, definitely). The staff is tremendous, super helpful, kind, and always at your disposal. Would return, but not for dinner as I’ll be full until tomorrow morning 🤤. Visit them, you...
