So first off we didn't know that in all the small towns in Italy the afternoon is no mans land. Time off. Sleepy nap time. Everything closes. We drove around a while trying everything from restaurants to grocery stores to gas stations and nothing was open. Finally we stumbled on this spot and the owner was so kind to serve us despite being in the process of closing. Very nice terrace. And lots more of free parking nearby. My wife had an excellent pasta dish with beans and bacon, while I ordered the steak. Unfortunately, although I asked for medium rare when asked how I would like it, what arrived at the table was a very well done piece of meat. The flavour was good, it was just very overcooked, and so pretty tough. We also shared a mixed salad that was fresh and delicious. This place is phenomenal, a low key hidden gem in Umbria. The woman managing/hostess was so kind, you can tell they really care about customers. The pizza and pasta are great, and far better than the pizza we had in Rome. Pana Cotta was surprisingly light and delicious. We came for lunch and dinner it was that good!
