The 50€ price for the trucker menu seemed high considering the quality. The white wine had a terrible taste, but at least it was served at the right temperature. The Carbonara lacked sauce and the pasta seemed low-quality. The pork with green peas was oversalted, while the chicken with oven chips stood out as the best dish. The Tiramisu had too much cocoa powder, not listed on the menu and priced separately at 5€ each. The cappuccino was good but overly sweet for my taste.
Compared to other Autogrills and restaurants in Italy, this establishment falls short in quality. Given the significant flaws in the trucker menu, 50€ is too high a price. A fair range would be around 30€ to 35€ in my opinion.
The service was satisfactory, and the staff, particularly the lady attending to us, was pleasant and proficient in English. However, it's important to focus on the overall dining experience rather than personal attributes.
In conclusion, my mixed experience with the trucker menu, combined with the pricing and quality issues, leads me to not recommend this...
Read moreThis has got to be one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had on the Italian motorway system. Male waiter/ maitre d'/owner? was rude, impatient & incompetent. Once he'd noticed the fact that I wasn't Italian he only gave me 2 menu choices, Lasagne & Pork chop with potatoes.I assumed that this was a set truckers menu as no menu available on the table. Lasagne was luke warm & Pork chop was of an extremely poor quality and potatoes drowning in grease.Watching other tables I saw that there were plenty of other pasta starter options and main courses. He just couldn't be bothered. Had to ask for everything from salt & pepper to grated cheese for the lasagne to a small pitcher of wine and the waiting staff were not quick about bringing those either. All this cost me €20. As it's next to the Truck village this establishment will probably never be short of customers but take my advice & avoid at all costs. You'll get a better meal at a...
Read moreStopped in for lunch on our drive from Rome to Naples, looking for somewhere good but not too expensive or difficult. We ordered Bufala pizza and rigatoni carbonara. Service was awful and it took a long time to get our food, and I had to ask multiple times. They forgot pizza and I asked for “bufala pizza” and they brought out a ball of Bufala mozzarella instead. The rigatoni carbonara was scrambled and very salty when it finally came out. We didn’t get bread for the table or anything either (everyone else did?), and overall was not an...
