I'm a wedding planner based in London and recently had the pleasure of organising the first wedding of the year at the Roncolo1888 Hotel in the beautiful wine region of Emilia-Romagna.

I couldn't have been more delighted with the exceptional service and culinary experience provided by the onsite restaurant, La Limonaia. From the initial consultation with Caterina to the last bite of the delicious menu, the restaurant exceeded the expectations of the bridal couple and their guests. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The menu options were varied with authentic/traditional specialities and could be customised to suit the bridal couple's preferences. The team worked closely with us to create a unique culinary experience that reflected our vision for the wedding. They were also flexible with dietary restrictions and personalised the menu to ensure that every guest's taste buds were satisfied.

Each dish was beautifully presented, showcasing their culinary artistry and attention to detail. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service provided by the restaurant staff was first class. They were professional, attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest was well looked after. A huge thank you to Caterina and Fabio for making everything possible to ensure the couple had a truly memorable day.

I'm looking forward to planning and hosting the next wedding at this beautiful venue.

It was a pleasure to work with...

Insanely good tasting menu. The cappelletti in broth was great, as was the pig suckling. The bread for the table was delicious and fresh. Surprise surprise, they serve their own balsamic and it’s amazing.

I also did the wine tasting, which was…ok. I’m admittedly not a Lambrusco expert but it was the most underwhelming wine of my 10 day Italy trip (a high bar, to be fair). My favorite wine from the winery was just the white sparkling from the day’s previous lunch. I believe their winery is relatively new so maybe this will improve!

Service was a little hectic/slow but it seems like they were understaffed for the first part of...

Incredible experience. We had a great meal here. The food was excellent and the quality amazing. The staff were very attentive, explaining the food, course by course. The food was accompanied by wine from the estate itself. Had very much a "fine dining" feel, without the pretentious you often get at such places. The location - amazing. The views - amazing. The food - amazing. I'd like to return to the estate and spend more time looking at the other produce, and...
