The place is pretty much your average mountain tourist trap. Great views, spacious interior, flashy branding. However, as one can expect from the 2 star rating, the quality of the food and its service are sub-par compared to other such restaurants in the Dolomites.
Our group waited 1+ hours for a basic order that should have not taken that long. The food arrived cold and the plating looked like it was put together in 30 seconds by a forklift operator. Furthermore, my order did not even arrive and the staff was not willing to prepare something else in due time.
When it came to the dishes that did arrive, they were not at all what you would have expected from their price markups. The Goulash was drier than the Sahara Dessert in peak summer, being bassically just a couple of carrots and beef pieces in a somewhat stale crust of bread. The Gnocchi looked nothing like the pictures advertised on the restaurant’s website. They had almost no flavour and tasted frozen. The complimentary bread was also stale and tasted like your average 3 cent pack of breadsticks.
Overall, it’s a place where you can definitely enjoy a cup of coffee while staring at the view of the beautiful mountain range on the other side of the glass windows. However, this restaurant is a prime example of how good reviews and flashy branding can be deceiving. I’d advise you to visit one of the other wonderful restaurants that this area offers if you’re looking for some tasty and...
Read moreStopped by here expecting a lovely experience, but the consequent reality left us miserable, dissatisfied, and regretful of the massive waste of time. The gnocchi was painfully below average and in my 35 years of living I have not encountered such a sorry excuse for a venison. The sauce looked a diy slime experiment gone wrong, while the meat covered underneath, which was promised to be slow cooked, was more likely to have been cooked a while ago, and reheated. One of the waiters was nice, but his colleague was a rude and genuinely unprofessional man. And finally, they managed to mess up roasted potatoes, which is impossible to find in this area. If you do not wish to weep over the loss of money and time, steer as clear of this hell...
Read moreThis place is probably one of the most spectacular spots from the all Dolomites. A breathtaking 360 degrees perspective to Marmolada and its neighbourhood, and Sella on the opposite side. A typical mountain local architectural style, keeping the shape of the past "Autentico Italiano" combined with a cozy modern style of the interior design. Always a pleasure to make a stop here, and moreover, when you get a warm sunbath, you will be filled up with joy and happiness for...
