If fate conspires to deliver you to Comunanza, you'll not be shocked to see that restaurants are thin on the ground.
We approached Da Roverino with some trepidation as a result, because it looked like the only show in town. It was a relief then to find that the fare was very respectable indeed. The dining area is just beyond the hotel bar/check in and the kitchen an open fire pit for grilling, so meat is a strong focus. There wasn't a menu (usually a cause for worry), so the options are delivered machine-gun fashion in competent if idiosyncratic English. That included a raw mushroom, rocket & parmesan antipasti which I was skeptical of, but was one of the best starters we had on our trip.
Pasta seemed to consist of ravioli options only, but something may have got lost in translation. Service was good, but I can understand it slowing down when it gets busy. It's a popular choice with the locals, and did fill up as the evening wore on. Without a menu, there is always some worry when you rock up to pay the bill, but the pricing was very fair.
