Osteria al Cantonaccio con alloggio — Restaurant in Comunità Montana del Piambello

I think this may have been the best food I have ever eaten, I truly cannot recommend this place enough. Genuinely the best restaurant I've been to in Italy having spent two weeks here hotel hopping through the country. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would.

This is a gorgeous small family restaurant with a great atmosphere and decor serving truly amazing food.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the minute we got there and did not mind that we don't speak Italian, even giving us an English menu, unlike some places we've been to. We were sat downstairs which was nice and cool getaway from the hot evening. We shared three courses between the two of us (which was plenty to fill us up), all of which tasted absolutely delicious.

The hostess was incredibly attentive, even bringing a hand fan when she noticed my girlfriend was getting hot.

We didn't take any photos like we do in some places as we didn't want to ruin the atmosphere with our phones out.

I wish I spoke enough Italian to be able to tell them this in person, I hope that they see my review and Google translate can...

We have been here for 4 days in one if the two Appartements. The Appartements are modern, nice interior, comfortable and have much space. Wifi is excellent. Even more excellent is the restaurant! The breakfast is italian style, so don't expect a fat Buffet. You get bisquets, Marmelade, chocolate cream, Croissants, good italian coffee and (I swear) the best fried eggs in the whole world. Lunch has a special pricing. You only pay around 15 euros for amazing good pasta (primi) and meat or cheese Container secondi with a bottle of water and a coffee. Pasta seems to be self made! For dinner (or also for luch time) the osteria has a well sorted wine cellar with mainly italian wines between 17 and 300? Euro prr bottle. They also have champagne there.. We would love to come back again for some days and just enjoy time at the restaurant. This is a uniquely beautiful place to stay and eat. A genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful family that provide top quality accommodation and delicious, freshly made food. A filling breakfast of homemade bread and pastries and much more is a special bonus! We stayed with our little baby and the whole family helped us and were very gracious despite the mess we inevitably left! Dinner is high quality and very reasonably priced in a lovely set of rooms. The apartment is well furnished, warm and comfortable while the setting couldnt be more stunning. Overall this is a memorable place to stay! I don't know if I've stayed anywhere better. Truly worth...
