It may be a question of local interpretation in Italy but as the place name included "Pizzeria" we would have expected to find...well...pizza. Instead no, no pizza at lunch, at least not on Sunday. Instead a very limited menu from where we chose the few things that were without meat - our mistake that we did not get up and leave right then and there. What I think was one of the owners (judging by the pictures) said something along the lines of "I could check with the cook about making pizza but it's really busy" which was sounded more like "I really wish you don't want to go for pizza". I guess it was meant as a polite refusal but it came out differently. Anyway...
The pasta with mushrooms and pumpkin sauce was ok-ish but my falafel...I guess it was the supermarket kind (serves me right for ordering falafel at an Italian restaurant I guess) and at 11.5 euros that is kinda pricey for Sale Marasino. Honestly 6 euros of coperto also seemed a bit much, I think we paid less in Piazza della Loggia. The view was very nice though and there was ample parking on site - just be aware that the road to get there from the railroad crossing is short but steep and narrow.
We get the point about having limited menu options at busy times - and it was busy! - but maybe add a warning or change the title to "Ristorante (and maybe) Pizzeria". We drove there especially for the pizza that they so proudly present on their website. And about the website, no mention about this pizza-only-in-the-evening thing there either. So a bit of a disappointment there, since the...
Read moreI have to give them only two stars as one the waitress (blond short hair, with glasses and a bit old (there is other waitress with the same characteristics but younger and she was nice)) was rude. When we arrived to the restaurant she didn't even look at us and she just passed near us without saying a word. We approached the counter to ask for a table to another waitress and this one sent us to the rude one and she again was rude talking to us and looking us in a bad way. Then at the table, we had to call her to take our order cause we waited for her 15 minutes at least and no service at all to us; she didn't bring us water but the rest of the tables she did and several times. Everytime we needed something we had to call her as she was not even looking at us. Very bad service. The others waitresses were good. The food and price good. And the view awesome. But I'm afraid I want repeat because of her. And the charge you 2.5€ per person, for the service, I guess. And 1.5€ for...

ENGLISH PRO: the view is breathtaking.
CON: the service. We booked for a big family dinner and as there were 20 of us we were split on two big tables. I have worked in hospitality so I know how difficult and tiring serving tables is, but I also know what good customer service looks like and this ain’t it. They asked us if we wanted water when we sat down but when they came back to get the rest of the drinks orders they didn’t ask everyone at the table, so only a few people got their orders in and they didn’t bother to check that everyone had been asked. The few people that ordered a drink only received it when the other table had already received their food and our food came out a long time later. When we were finally able to stop a waiter and order two cokes, he brought them over in two cans and without any glasses. I understand the difficulty of serving a party of 20 but, with the restaurant half empty on a Tuesday night, I believe the issue here is organisation and customer service which is nonexistent. Pizza was also not very good (general opinion of our two tables) but I understand that might also be down to personal taste. The staff never checked on us, which is a shame because we would have definitely ordered more if they’d just bothered paying attention to us. I understand it’s tough to pull together a smile when you’re tired but the vibe from the whole staff is that they can’t wait for the...
