Fantastic. I had lunch here and there's a journey tale afterwards if you're interested. This is a delightful place in a gorgeous setting. Huge amount of free parking, beautiful walks all around, an ice-cold river to paddle in & a trough by the bridge with free mountain water piped out for filling waterbottles. Then you repair to Genzianella for a well-earned meal, great service, great food, I'll be back. Journey tale: I stayed in Frascia overnight, leaving my bike here and driving back down into town. Caught the bus back up, except no-one told me I needed to change in Chiesa! After being dumped off several miles away in the wrong direction I waited an hour for the same bus and driver to take me back down. On approaching Chiesa I rashly decided on a spur of the moment decision that I'd walk on up here, it's only six and a half miles! In 36c heat up a mountain in normal shoes with no water. I realised after not too long that I really am as stupid as my wife thinks I am 🤔 I wasn't certain if Italians picked up hitchhikers or would recognise the thumb, but I figured I'd try it. Over two miles and I was sort of beginning to think I may not have made the day's best decision, when a likely looking character in a beaten up old Fiat Panda screeched to a halt, flung the bin bags of rubbish off the passenger seat and started off almost before I was in the car, certainly before the door closed. I've no idea if the seat belts worked, I never saw them, fortunately there wasn't much traffic and what we did meet he didn't slow down for. It was an exhilarating ride, for which I was very thankful. Screaming down on my pushbike seemed almost tame...

In una splendida giornata di metà luglio, io e mio padre abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare, insieme ai colori del tramonto, all'Albergo Ristorante Genzianella di Ponte dell'Acqua a Mezzoldo, e l'esperienza è stata semplicemente appagante. Abbiamo pranzato all'aperto, godendo di una vista mozzafiato sui prati verdi circostanti.

I piatti sono stati tutti molto buoni: il brasato era preparato con maestria, e il tagliere di salumi e formaggi, accompagnato da una polentina, ha saputo deliziarci con sapori autentici e freschi. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale cortese e cordiale che ha contribuito a rendere la nostra cena ancora più piacevole.

Il prezzo è stato assolutamente giusto e in linea con la qualità del cibo e del servizio offerto. Questo ristorante è sicuramente da consigliare e merita una visita se vi trovate da quelle parti in...

il posto ci è sempre piaciuto nel corso degli anni, ma oggi non so cosa sia successo, forse un cambio in cucina, sta di fatto che oggi (14/08/2022) a fronte di un conto di 48€ abbiamo pranzato davvero male. una porzione di pizzoccheri senza sapore, serviti freddi, ma con una splendida pennellata di mirtillo come decorazione....( masterchef hai rotto...siamo a MEZZOLDO!) lo stesso vale per il piatto unico con polenta taragna, cervo,(scondito e duro..il cane ha gradito..) brasato, freddo, secco, con una salsa di verdure tiepida stile mensa.. che fare, avevo fame e ho chiesto una semplice salamella ai ferri; dopo poco mi viene servita ma dopo due bocconi vedo che è completamente cruda ..mi fermo qui, spiaciuto e anche un pò incredulo.. forse avrei dovuto obiettare al tavolo, ma ormai soldi e tempo persi. posto incantevole con terrazza perfetta per...
