Ok so starting with the good things:- The decor of the bar&restaurant is really nice, modern yet cosy. They do an excellent aperitivo. The spritz was delicious and had some tasty nibbles to go along with it. The staff are great, really friendly and welcoming. Good service.
Now, we stayed for a night in the hotel with our 4 year old son and we weren’t impressed. It seems the hotel is a bit of an afterthought. There was mould on the walls in the room which I don’t think is acceptable when you’re letting rooms for people to stay in. We asked for an iron and they didn’t have one which again, if you’re serious as a hotel business it’s helpful to have these items as guests may ask for them. Thirdly, there seemed to be some sort of party/rave that continued into the early hours of the morning and disturbed our sleep. In fact Hotel Moderno has a fully renewed Restaurant and Bar, with a very elegant and comfortable dining room with plenty of glass windows overlooking the city square for winter dinners, and a dehors for summer drinks and aperitifs. The young owners are very nice and smart, they can serve you very good cocktails and appetizers as well as full lunch or dinners. So it's perfect to warm you back up after the skiing day in winter, or a drink with your friends on a summer sunset. You'll only be surprise to get so much quality in food and beverages at such a...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner at the Hotel Moderno and we found an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location in a small mountain village was exquisite, with large windows opening to the piazza. The hotel setting was a mixture of vintage and modern mountain chalet, tastefully decorated and served by friendly, well-trained staff. My drink, a Long Island iced tea was the best I’ve ever had. The starters were locally sourced and pleasingly presented. The main courses were divine. The bar also presented a display of locally created gins. This place deserves a...
