On my first visit about 4 years ago, I was completely thrilled. Everything was perfect. On my last visit in July 22, the food was still great, the view and the ambience still fantastic. It took too long for the menu to come, and it took far too long for the food to arrive. And it took too long again until we could pay - finally. Il ristorante Il Poggio, situato in provincia di Sondrio, offre un'esperienza culinaria davvero eccellente, che combina gusto, stile e comfort. L'ambiente si presenta accogliente e ben curato, con un design moderno arricchito da elementi caratteristici, come il forno e la brace a vista, che regalano un'atmosfera calda e autentica. Le tre sale interne, insieme alla terrazza estiva, assicurano ampi spazi per accogliere i clienti, rendendo ogni visita piacevole e rilassante.
Il menù è ricco e variegato, tanto che ogni piatto cattura l'attenzione e vorrebbe essere scelto. Un altro punto di forza è la disponibilità di opzioni senza glutine, dimostrando un’attenzione particolare per le esigenze alimentari di tutti. Gli “gnocchetti ai mirtilli”, in particolare, sono stati un vero e proprio trionfo di sapori: i migliori mai provati! Anche il “risotto alla zucca” si è rivelato eccellente, delicato e cremoso. Tra i secondi, il “tonno con verdure” e lo spiedone di fettine di manzo, chiamato "Tzigoiner", hanno superato ogni aspettativa, perfettamente cotti e saporiti.
Il servizio è stato impeccabile: professionale, cortese e attento a ogni dettaglio, con tempi di attesa ben calibrati. Non va dimenticata la splendida vista sulla valle che, attraverso una grande vetrata, ha reso l'atmosfera ancora più speciale per chi, come noi, aveva un tavolo riservato in un angolo intimo.
La selezione dei vini è stata altrettanto pregevole, così come il dessert, con una varietà di sorbetti rinfrescanti che hanno chiuso il pasto in modo perfetto. Considerando la qualità del cibo, del servizio e dell'ambiente, i prezzi sono assolutamente onesti.

The menu is very large, full of local dishes.
The restaurant is family-owned, they are very professional.
The chef and his wife are very nice. The waiters are super friendly.
Regarding the food: top notch quality.
I took a tartar as appetizer. Pizzoccheri (which is a dish from Il Poggio's region) as main dish: extremely good. As second dish, I took the Tzigoiner. The dish was very good.
The view is breathtaking and the road to get to there is easy and accessible.
