This site used to be an amazing family run Gelateria and we used to come here for years after dinner to enjoy an espresso and gelato. We came to hallelujah ready to enjoy an after dinner treat on the terrace and they said the terrace was for the restaurant only - despite it only being 9.30pm, plenty of empty tables, and the restaurant being open until 11pm. Instead, the staff happily turned us away or offed us the bar tables on the side of the road. I know this place just opened but there are a lot of people who know and loved this place as it was, and to turn people away from empty tables - while you call yourself a Gelateria.. is just pointless. Attivita' aperta lo scorso anno,ma durante l'inverno e' cambiata la gestione. Gia' si mangiava ad un buon livello, Pesce e carne, ora abbiam riprovato il posto e siam rimasti piu' che soddisfatti. Chef e brigata di cucina giovane ma non improvvisati ( si vedon dalla presentazione "stellata" dei piatti) formazione dall'albercghiero di Gardone Riviera..e la scuola si vede e si sente nel gusto. Equilibrati e non scontati gli abbinamenti dall'antipasto Halleluja con mix di majonesi crudite' di pesci salmone tonno e, soute' di cozze alla sorrentina leggermente piccante. Abbiam provato di seguito spiedino di pescedi mare, veramente gustoso con sale aromatizzato agli aromi. Personalmente l'ho trovato un po' troppo sapido, ma per mia moglie era perfetto e io ho preso una steak angus con patate al forno accompagnata da burro alle erbe e riduzione di vino rosso aromatizzato. Gustosa morbida, tagliata a fettine, ho provato la riduzione che ha dato un'esperienza diversa al palato del sapore della carne, interessante esperienza. Personale molto gentile e simpatico, anche se per la serata piuttosto fredda, per il periodo e dopo lungo ponte 25/ e 1/5,stasera nn era molto probabile come "stress test" ma, a "pelle" mi sembra che i ragazzi sian pronti ad affrontare ben piu' ardue sfide. Definitely a place to get some great seafood - the food was so good that we came back multiple times. The fish and pasta were truly exceptional. Would have given the restaurant 4.5 stars if it would be an option. Rated the restaurant as 4/5 as I believe service lacks consistency - two out of three times everything went smoothly but had some issues on the third time.
