I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante & Pizzeria Bellavita, and it was truly a hidden gem nestled conveniently between Locarno and Luino. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience, especially on a beautiful summer day or during an Indian summer, when dining outdoors is an absolute pleasure. The warm breeze adds to the charm, creating an ideal setting to enjoy a meal.
During my lunch visit, which happened to be on a holiday, the restaurant wasn’t crowded yet. The service was satisfactory, with the staff being kind and accommodating. Although there was a slight hiccup with our apéritif drink, which was forgotten by one of the staff members, it didn’t significantly dampen our experience.
The menu at Ristorante & Pizzeria Bellavita boasts a delectable array of dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. We started with the Bruschetta Della Casa, which was simply delightful, bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly toasted bread. The Sauté di Cozze e Vongole alla Marinara was another highlight, with the seafood cooked to perfection and the marinara sauce adding a delightful zest. While the Insalata di Polpo con Patate was decent, it didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. However, it provided a refreshing interlude before we indulged in the Fritto Misto di Mare, which was a definite top choice. The variety of seafood in the Fritto Misto was impressive, each piece perfectly crispy and succulent, making it an absolute delight to savor.
Overall, our dining experience at Ristorante & Pizzeria Bellavita was fantastic. The quality of the dishes, especially the Bruschetta Della Casa and Fritto Misto di Mare, was exceptional. The ambiance, coupled with the warm service, added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. I would highly recommend trying out these dishes when visiting this restaurant.
In terms of pricing, the overall cost was reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. However, there was a slight discrepancy with the dessert prices, which were all priced the same despite varying results, leaving us slightly perplexed.
Despite these minor hiccups, our experience at Ristorante & Pizzeria Bellavita was enjoyable. The beautiful setting, delicious food, and decent service made for a pleasant dining experience. I would certainly visit again and recommend it to others seeking a delightful culinary experience...
Read moreLast year we came with our family so we were with 7 people. We ordered a lot and stayed long. The staff was happy with us. This year we went with the 2 of us and they gave us our drinks and not an ashtray which is not handy for smokers. We talked for hours and not once came a waitress to asked if we wanted another drink. Then we wanted to order the complete staff was rude to us. Because they didn't came to us we had to go to them. The waitress gave the menu card without saying a word. Only looking angry. We talked about it because we didn't know why they were so rude. We sat there having good conversations and not once they came to ask if we are okay. So we felt really unwelcome and wanted to pay. She gave us a bill for 16 euro for one beer and one aperol. It was expensive for Italy so we asked why this was. Oh she had charged a 3 euro drink extra on our bill. Okay she removed it and still it was expensive. I had to go to the toilet and normally you greet the chef but he ignored me, the same as the waiter who was cleaning our table. my partner was waiting on me and afterwards he said that he looked in the menu card and saw that his beer was 3 euro. The aperol couldn't have been that expensive because nearby Venetia it was like 3,50 euro with chips. Here it was without the chips. Her reason was that it's all expensive there so she gave us a tourist price. Really??!! So rude! A pizza was like 6 euro.
The waitress was also angry at him because she saw our finished sigaretts. We didn't wanted to throw them on the ground so we left them on the table because we hadn't an ashtray.she was really really rude! Like the whole staff. It seemed like when your spending a lot of money there they are nice but when you're sitting there and waiting for them to come but they won't come they really want you to leave.
Never eat there again! Not with the 2 of us or with the family! Really...
Read moreThis has various google reviews but the ones that say the pizza is undercooked are all correct. The staff were fairly welcoming, the location is hard to beat, but no harder than the 30 other restaurants you might pass to get to this one. Menu is nice and varied but pizza and calzone were undercooked, this would be just my opinion if my son hadn't subsequently been ill all night with an entire calzone coming up in reverse. So, please cook your pizzas more, undercooked soggy bases are ok right up to the point the food isn't actually...
