Absolutely amazing. The food and the parampampoli were absolutely amazing. The small plate set up was a little confusing but our server Nicola (hope I’m spelling that right) was incredibly patient and amazing at explaining everything. Needless to say i had an amazing time… and then he took us to the cellar and explained how they made their meats and cheeses and we just couldn’t resist purchasing their Parampampoli and other goodies. After a thorough tour, we went back upstairs and had an amazing time talking to the owner Davis for some time which was amazing. You must visit if you are in the area though the drive up is a little intense.

Born and raised in Vicenza, I have been living in the US for the last 25 years. Every time I go home to Vicenza, I set one day aside and take the 1-1/2 hrs drive to go eat at Ristorante Rifugio Crucolo. My parents, my family, patronize this establishment regularly. Perhaps Im a little bias, but thats only because I know how good the food is. Everything, and I do mean everything is made from scratch. From the customer service, the ambiance, its an experience. And dont forget to ask to visit the cellar before you leave!!!

A chiudere strudel caffè e parampampoli.

Once of the most memorable meals I have ever had. Delicious, hearty food. Didn't know what to expect but was more than pleasantly surprised considering there was no set menu. The cellar has an amazing selection of cheese, cured meats and Grappa. If you hear about this and are considering it as a stop off along your route, don't second guess. Just go and you will be in for an experience. Don't forget to try their homemade digestive,...
