Villa Paolina — Restaurant in Contursi Terme

The outside eating atmosphere and ambience was lovely. The range of food was varied giving plenty of choice for young and old. A meal for five persons came to €80. The food was good and value for money. My local family members that live near the restaurant spoke highly of the place and pressed for us to eat here as it was considered to be one of the best restaurants around. On the occasion that we went here for a family meal. The service was poor. The meals came out at separate times. My children had eaten their meals whilst we were still waiting. The particular older waiter had no patience for us non fully speaking Italians and seem to be focused on other things than helping us enjoy our evening. The experience that we were expecting was very spoilt. I'm sure if the waiter knew whom I was related to then he would have been a totally different person. This is a typical Italian town with the town square being the meeting point for the locals.||A year ago we visited Contursi and stayed in the Villa Paolina hotel about 2 miles from the centre of town. This year we were in Contursi for a wedding which to our surprise was to be staged at this hotel.||What a difference a year makes!! Last year the hotel was OK this year it was nothing less than excellent.||The service was superb, the accommodation brilliant and as for the wedding it was better than you would experience in a top UK hotel.||One of the features of the hotel is a large deck level pool with spectacular view over the mountains.||We stayed 3 weeks in the hotel and can genuinely say we could it. The value for money was also exceptional.||This is a hotel that has developed over the past year and deserves a visit for the UK...
