My first review of Germano Reale dates back to 2013, and I decided to provide another review as it's still our favourite holiday spot. We've stayed at Germano Reale 4 times since 2013, and our 5th booking is already confirmed for 2018. It's safe to say we love the place ;-)||||Germano Reale changed ownership in 2016 and there is a little bit of charm gone as the former owner had an amazing extrovert personality and I always enjoyed our evening chats. However, new ownership also resulted in new investments in the property, so there's tangible gains as well. ||||Overall, Germano Reale still offers that unique combination of a great quiet property with good food, good rooms and good service - only a few minutes away from the hustle & bustle of Rimini and Riccione. In itself Germano Reale is already worth five stars, but the location close to so many great restaurants & attractions is the key factor for us. We typically spend our 2-week summer holiday at Germano Reale and the fact that we can either spend days at the wonderful pool, or go out and explore amazing places in the wider area around it, makes for a place we come back to again and again.||||Under the new ownership there are some clear improvements - notably the pool bar. It's great to have a fully functioning bar next to the swimming pool, with plenty of drinks & snacks on offer. They also serve a good lunch. ||Germano Reale now also serves dinner during the summer and although we liked the offering, there are so many amazing restaurants just a short drive away (notably La Greppia) that we didn't use the dining facilities a lot. ||||To conclude, Germano Reale has survived the ownership change quite well. Prices have gone up in recent years, but one can also see that the new owners have invested around the property to make it even better than before, from the lounge chairs to the wi-fi or the pool bar. We'll be back for our 5th stay next summer - as you can tell our family adores this place and we plan on returning often in the future. Very highly recommended, especially for families...

Read moreThere aren't enough superlatives to describe the hotel in its entirety. The staff are amazing, so helpful and attentive from the get go, through to lunch time meals by the pool, dinner in the evening in the restaurant and services provided by reception. ||||The two bed apartment we booked was extremely spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids, with a lovely veranda to enjoy drinks on whilst the kids were in bed and a real sun trap too! The kitchen was kitted out well with everything you need including a dishwasher and the maid kept things lovely and clean on a daily basis with fresh towels etc.||||The pool is big with more than ample sunbeds and super comfy too with thick cushions and a baby pool as well as a shallow are in the main pool for little ones. It felt so exclusive for three of the days we were the only ones around the pool. ||||The main purpose for the visit was a trip to the World Superbikes at the Misano Marco Simoncelli Circuit, just 6 km away, so we spent three of the days away from the hotel, but on returning late afternoon the pool was a welcome refresh after temperatures reaching 40 degrees! ||||There is table tennis and football/tennis court too as well as a play area for smaller kids full of Little Tikes houses and the like to keep them happy whilst you finish dinner, within full view of the restaurant so you can keep a close eye. ||||The hotel is close enough to lots of places, provided you have a car, to get out and about - Misano, Cattolica, Ancona.....the best beaches are a little further afield, maybe 45 minutes away, although there are beaches very close too, they just aren't as picturesque as the ones a little drive away. ||||The kids were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Jennifer was particularly lovely. We will definitely re-visit but instead of spending a week there for the motorbike racing next time, it will be two! We miss it already and we've only...
