B&Bistrot Tre Croci — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

The taste was decent, and the atmosphere wasn’t too bad, but I’m feeling confused.

He didn’t bring us the bread plate, although all the other tables got one. When I said, "Give me some dish," he replied, "Some dish? Okay." But instead of a bread plate, he brought a large plate. Well, I let that slide...

He spilled some beer while bringing it from outside, noticed me, and smiled. Okay, but he also spilled it on the table and didn’t even offer a simple apology.

Our food was brought to another Asian table before coming to us. Other tables got their food right away without any issues.

He gave other tables the menus, but for us, he just told us to scan the QR code.

Looking at each thing individually, I might’ve just brushed it off, but when all these things happened together, it left a bad impression, no matter how inexperienced the waiter might’ve been.

They asked me to pay an additional €4 for ‘comfort food,’ but I didn’t feel comforted at all, so I thought about saying, “I can’t pay for that.” However, I decided to let it go since it’s a good trip, paid, and left.

This was a very weird experience.

The lasagna was cold in the middle and had very little flavor. The burger was okay. The Tyrol salad was very confusing. It was 90% cabbage and a few slices of apples and a lot of walnuts. The steak was fine. It came out 30 minutes after all of the other food. It was supposed to be cooked medium rare and coming out very very rare. The steak was €28 and did not come with any sides. It was about 160g.

Prices were high for the quality of the food. The staff was not rude but they seemed to have forgotten about the steak despite us asking about it. There were maybe 3 other tables taken in the restaurant.

The “booths” have no backs and you are sitting back to back with other people.

I am glad I didn’t stop here after a hike because it would have been even more disappointing. I would not recommend...

To be fair I wasn't expecting much since in reviews people are a bit harsh, I cannot understand that anybody left one star here no matter the reason, too ignorant since food is more than good and prices are fair. Both Alekandr and Jules are very helpful and hardworking, you can see it yourself that they don't stop for a second. We should have ignored these reviews and give it a shot, and that's exactly why I leave this here. Would recommend to all sorts of people.
