We took three cable cars to get to the top and it was absolutely worth it! The view was incredible and is definitely a must see. For those who have a slight fear of heights: The first two cable cars are quite long hauls but doesn't climb so much in terms of altitude and was quite alright (it was only a bit scary). However the last one is a tough one because it covers a lot of altitude and gives the impression of going straight up along the mountainside towards the end. If it's cloudy you'll be disappearing into the clouds without seeing where you're going at all... Which was very uncomfortable (but also cool) so high up - the same thing goes for back down again. The drivers was cool though and tried to cheer me up and make me laugh when I was holding on for my dear life inside the cable car. 10/10 would...
Read moreSpettacolare bar-rifugio situato una cinquantina di metri sotto alla cima della possente Tofana di Mezzo (3244m), facilmente raggiungibile con la funivia Freccia nel Cielo, direttamente da Cortina d'Ampezzo. Locale ben curato, in pietra e legno, magari un po' austero, ma accogliente e con una signora gentile al bancone. Il punto di forza è la meravigliosa terrazza che consente una vista assolutamente imperdibile su tutta la conca di Cortina, scendendo giù fino a fine vallata. Visibili le Dolomiti di Sesto, Sorapis, Antelao, il pian Falzarego, e le restanti Dolomiti della zona. Tramite comodi camminatoi è possibile andare nella parte posteriore del bar in cui vedere val Travenanzes e tutto il gruppo del Conturines.
